Don't worry. There aren't any actual McDonalds involved with the place. Ray Kroc cheated the McDonald brothers out of their place. There's a movie about it.

The hits keep coming hard today. Some one of my people might have done did this whole murder under trust of the MacDonalds of Glencoe which could not be forgiven.

Now I find out my people and even myself helped support this greedy schmuck Ray Kroc " kill off " the real Mcdonalds here???

I sure dont know why my people had it in for them so bad. All my grandparents and my Mom and Dad seemed like such kind people. After I watch a doc. on you tube about the massacre of Glencoe I will watch The Founder. I found it free on ruku channel.

Then I have to find a puppy or something to play with.

PS - Little known oddity...
Most Scottish Clan names are preceded by "Mac"
Most Irish are preceded by "Mc".
BUT, because there was a lot of... uhm.... "cross-over" LOL back in the day, they are a bit interwoven nowadays.
"True" Scots Mac clan members still take the mickey out of the "lazy" Irish Mc derived ones (in a fun way) saying that they were too lazy to write the "a" ROFL.

My sister was my parents executer and all the family papers,bible etc, is in some kinda climate control storage unit.
But the man was a Smith and he married a Campbell.



I know to you it may be kinda cliche for you , but back in the 80s-90s I got to see the Black Watch. The first time , front row seats smack dab in the middle of the coliseum. They turned the lights down and the fog came out from the big entrance on one side. The drums played real quite at first then all the pipers came out first blaring away with drummers next.


I had never heard the pipes in person and here was a whole bunch 30 feet from us. Everything about these guys were perfect and all the silver and things shined bright. In an enclosed space on floor level with I guess the best of the best was awesome. You could feel it reverberate through your body.

I would recommend seeing them to anyone who never has .

'Morning!

It's bleuchy here in Scotia, with a hint of meh.
Yes, after quite a few weeks of mostly clear blue skies and sunshine.... it is back to being Dull, Dreich, Drizzly, Damp and Dour! (Must be said with a very gruff Scots accent!)
But the timing is actually very fortuitous, for I raked, cut and reseeded my front lawn last night! and the rain will assist with the bedding in and rooting of the new lawn seed... RESULT!

I'm probably going to do another live music set over on BaseFook later if anyone wants to join me?
It will be approximately 6hrs50mins from the timestamp on this post at 19:15BST (British Summer Time)

At this time of year, I usually look in on the resident Osprey's nest at Loch Garten near Aviemore, but the birds have not returned to use that particular nest this year. The good news is that I've found a webcam showing the nest of another pair of Ospreys at Loch Arkaig in the Scottish Highlands.

Ah, nice new lawn you'll have. Everything here is green and lush after a long dreary Winter. So many beautiful, colorful flowers everywhere and tall trees with leaves waving at everyone saying "Hello, hello, I've missed you all since my long sleep. LOL

Hey Guys
I had three fabulous days putzting outside, doing everything and nothing, getting rid of stuff I no longer needed and just plain enjoyed time.
A dresser was no longer in demand and had a bump so it found its "Forever-home" at the dump, all good. At bed time I look around with a content satisfied smile and notice the empty spot in another dresser, missing a drawer which was in need of a wash.
My brain knows what happened, but my pride refuses to comply. So I search the house and out side and the van. No drawer.
Next Morning. I know what I must do. Tape a piece of card board over the spot and never tell any one what a dipsey old lady I am.
I decide to shrug my pride and ask at the village office if on of "The Boys" would go to the dump and help me find my drawer.
Every one had a good laugh and I got my drawer.
