When I feel bad about myself (which I do) for being weird and dysfunctional and mediocre and disappointing and maladjusted (which I am), I visit ATS and feel just a little better. I mean holy crap there's some strange birds here (and I am not referring to any one who frequents the Shed).

😆.. that’s funny DOE and it reminds me of a time of my life where I was suffering with serious depression. I sometimes watched the Jerry Springer show because it made me feel better and grateful for my life.😆 Still sad to see the dysfunctional crap on that show but it honestly did make me feel so much better about my own.

Lol, yes, I remember the Springer show. Do you think ATS would be better or worse if there were regular chair-throwing brawls?

That's a LOT of money! Singing bowls are cool too.

We have enough chaos in the world. That show was fake as far as I know.

I think ATS has enough brawling in its own way already.. yet on the other hand sometimes people don’t get to really speak their minds for fear of repercussions by mods.

We definitely could do without the chair throwing though. 😆

Some people might think the Springer show was all fake.. and while I agree some of it was set up.. not all of it was. Those were real dysfunctional families and alleged friends totally blowing me away with their stories at times. Yes.. people can be that weird.

You're a cool contributor. You have smarts which is a pretty good indicator of a kind respectful personage.

Something we need on ATS to sober us.

Your spirit is a fine example. Don't underestimate yourself.

My thoughts,

Kind regards,

Bally

That's why The Shed is like it is. Moderation is what's needed. This is a kind, thoughtful, fantasy place where we can have some fun. I can't imagine it without being moderated.

My thoughts with respect to NS and contributors,

Bally,

I need a good spanking on my bare bot hahahha

Bally: I actually wasn’t referring to the Shed.. though the moderating does confuse me at times in here.

Dedicated to truey,

Just written, bally...

Wisdom is enough
To sustain love,
You cannot have true love
Without the wisdom
Of previous experiences.

Think of wisdom from
A child's perspective.
And therefore you learn,
Through your juvenile years
What is tender and that of fake.

True love arrives,
Through hearts of the same nature.

Simple love comes,
From an occasion.

The wisdom of true love,
Far outweighs that of simple love.

Wisdom partners love.
Without it there is no truth.
Look to the wisdom of childhood.
Pause and steal that feeling.
Through that you will find true love.

Kind regards,

Bally

I love hang drum/handpan music! It's very ethereal, isn't it?

One of my favorites, because it feels so decidedly "lost ancient civilization" to me:

And this one, it makes me wonder if this might have been the style of music you'd have heard in Babylon while listening to a telling of the Epic of Gilgamesh

Hello people.

I have a significantly better season going on. Thanks for everyone who has supported me or just written about their daily lives and such. It helps me to distract myself from my demons. I owe you.

Been cleaning up my home with a slow but steady pace. Lots and lots of sleeping and eating. Visited a friend yesterday evening. I had plenty of water and two shots of cognac with lengthy gaps between them. Then we watched I, Robot and i liked it very much. I have said this before and i will say it again: Will Smith is really cool. It doesn't even have to be a Hollywood movie with all the special effects and dramatization, i have watched some documentaries from National Geographic where he is the narrator, and even then he is cool

Vegetarian diet has continued for about two or three weeks. It just happened somehow. Plenty of binge drinking earlier this December and not feeling up to any meat so... salads and stuff like that has been the choice. Spinach soup deserves to be mentioned.

Walking outside is easier now. The constant "Code red - Full alert!" mode is off. And the kidney pain has vanished 100%. Dreams are easier to handle.

Afternoon coffee now and then some cleaning up again.

I activated some kind of filter or sensor recently, that much I do know.

/me throws a bar-stool in to the crowd.

Moving on.

ETA I wasn't aiming for a member!

This is usually not my kinda thing but...a movie soundtrack theme piece. I like it. Didn't see the movie yet.

A female friend of mine has recently given birth to a son. (Her boyfriends', just in case) I'm over the moon and have sent a polite request if I can visit very very soon. His name means wolf (I googled. It's English too apparently, I've never heard it before) and he is a big boy.. She sent me a photo. He had his tongue literally just hanging out, all big and natural and proud, and I thought to myself "Good name!"

Backstory: I met her (my friend Linda) 8 years ago in my first temporary housing and she's such a nice person you can't not like her. Anyway, people move (she has her own house now, bought it with her boyfriend), life goes on, and hey, a baby!

Whoot whooooott!

You don't owe us anything Fin. You've always been here for anyone in need of support and love. You are a good soul.

Oh, I loved that movie, I Robot! I have seen it a few times.
I forget which movie it was, but Will Smith was in a movie with his Son Jaden. I think that's the kids name. Great actors!

Glad to hear that you are doing better my friend.
