Stealing Souls?

I have a question about the possession of ones soul.

You hear through stories about how people can sell there soul to the devil. So it seems to me that even though your soul is in the spiritual realm it is almost like a physical entity as well.

Is it possible that someone can steal your soul just as a burglar can break into your house and steal your T.V. ?

Could an entity come into your life and steal your soul?

I am worried that this could possible be source of alien abduction stories as well.

Please give me some input into this subject if you have any beliefs in the matter.

I do not belive that any devil steals anyone's soul! This is a Christian belief and not even all them believe this...

what they mean by stealing your soul, or selling your soul to the devil is that you give over your thoughts for someone elses... question peoples motives... everyones... even your own .. Your ego is the biggest enemy you have, who says that body of flesh is yours? ... just because you move it around doesn't mean it's yours just like a rental car.... think about that for a moment.. do you think you'll change if you had a different body?... would you want to? .. these are serious questions to consider... the fact is you should NEVER change, you should always stay the same.. always question motives, always investigate, always help......always be ....

The concept of a zombie is very old indeed, probably originating in Africa long before any of the modern religions.

That being said, witch doctors use the belief of their victims to effect the transformation. They can't hurt you if you don't believe they can. It really is that simple.

I heard a long time ago that one of the theories about alien abduction were linked to soul harvesting and also zombification (sp?) was the stealing of ones soul and making a person become the walking dead.

I am not saying I believe the above mentioned just things I have heard.

If you'd read my post you'd see your soul CAN'T be Stolen, or Taken ...
It is you ... YOU are your soul .. .its when you follow someone else that they've stolen your soul..... do you understand what I'm trying to convey? ..
... its like kidnapping you with an idea... like say I know you like diamonds and I'm trying to stop you from getting home.. so I spill diamonds all over the ground... and boom you see diamonds and you pick them up because you have this idea diamonds are special... now the diamonds have stolen your soul, because they took you away with an idea... the same could go for trying to get home, thats just another idea that's stealing your soul... who said thats your house? it's just an idea, and someone got an idea to make it official by writting a bunch of official looking documents to "prove" it's your home.. right? .. see where I'm going...

I meant no disrespect, I did read your post.

I guess where I am confused a little is that our soul is not even our own, that it belongs to Our Heavenly Father ( God ), so in essence it is a posses-able entity separate from our physical form.

What I am trying to get at is I am talking about our soul, not our mind.

I agree with most of what you say. I guess it is all relative with individual perception.

Maybe thats part of Gods gift of free will. How we interpret our very existence.

How do you know there is no effect? I am not saying aliens are abducting people and stealing souls but if the do, I am sure there would be some effect other wise why would God give us a soul to begin with?

Why would aliens harvest the soul?

Also people who claim to be abducted most times suffer from many emotional and psychological problems before they even recall they were abducted. Maybe a side affect of losing there soul, feeling lost, miserable etc. etc.

Besides it was a hypothetical question, I don't recall saying anything about fairy godmothers or fairy tales.

Just exploring some spiritual questions and ramifications of not being aware.
