Israel Says Syria will be Iran's own ‘own Vietnam in Syria,’

Rather then suggesting that Syria could be America's own Vietnam because of course the way how America trained and armed Syrian rebels and could create a blowback, an Israeli defence minster has now being publicly claiming that Syria could become Iran's own ‘own Vietnam in Syria,’ The minster also refused to rule out pre-emptive strikes agaisnt Iran.

It has being reported from last year that Israel has being not only treating wounded Jihadist rebels in Syria in Israel but also giving them military assistance.

Israel's Defense Chief Warns Iran: Syria Will Become Your Vietnam

Ramping up his war-mongering rhetoric, Israel’s defense chief has said Syria can become Iran’s ‘Vietnam’ and vowed to prevent Tehran from gaining a foothold there. It comes after Tel Aviv threatened Iran with a pre-emptive strike.

“We say to Iran: Syria will become your Vietnam.”

For Israeli minster to suggest that Israel wants to prevent Iran from getting a foothold shows an agenda. Dispute the facts that the Syrian gov already had made with the Iranian gov and are close allies in the region what is Isreal so afraid of?

Maya be Israel should explain to the western countries why is it wrong for Iran to gain a foothold in Syria and support its own allies but ok for Israel to treat wounded Jihadist rebels who could be terrorists? that is kind of hypocrisy.

And yet Its ok for Israel to military occupy golan heights from Syria because they believe that its theirs?

Israel has already given Iran a few licks in Syria.

Iran knows they can't touch Israel. Even if we didn't come to play it wouldn't fair well for them.

In fact using militants as a proxy means Syria will be Iran's Vietnam but not in the way the IDF general means:

Syria militants = Viet Cong on steroids
Israel = South Vietnam (minus the defeat)
Quds force = Soviet advisors
Iran = Soviet Union
USA = USA

So its an accurate statement but again not int he way they mean. It will allow Iran to keep Israel busy, coupled with bleeding their sponsor and perhaps goading them into a disastrous ground war like (Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria). Plus the VietCong had no ambitions beyond their part of the world. These militants want to set the world on fire.

The only difference is that Israel is not likely to lose and if they do they will literally nuke the entire area

Since the US fights wars for Israel, it will be another Vietnam for the US. The ISIS project has fizzled so it is straight to the old "Evil Iran" project. Anything to keep US doing the heavy lifting.

The narrative in the region is that if Iran losses so does Lebanon and Palestinians in Gaza. Iran knows this so does Israel.

But Israel knows Iran can easily destroy the oil refineries and oil structures in Saudi Arabia setting the world on fire should they not let Iran succeed in the region.
Israel wants Syria to be another failed state like Libya is now. Its rather amusing that Israel prefers failed states.

Lets be honest America and Israel are losing in Yemen the proxy which their own ally Saudi Arabia foolish shoot a foot at themselves. Saudi Arabia thinks they gain and win by cutting off the food supplies to the population that support the rebels in Yemen although that is not a sound wise plan.

They may delay some attacks and operations but that wont stop people from supporting the rebels just look at Afghanistan for 8 years the rebels.Taliban had being gaining control all because the population sees them as liberators agaisnt the occupiers.

What is happening in Syria might not be a another Vietnam but for America. Maybe it was best for the minster not to use phrase.

Iran knows that Israel is always targeting them so they fool Israel into thinking that's where their allies were. Israel enjoys targeting Hezbollah but have you ever seen Israel targeting ISIS? other Jihadist Rebel groups? if you haven't that really says a lot about who they prefer to win in Syria.

By the way from what i heard it seems Israel has being targeting mostly empty warehouses,factories with just a small handful of soldiers but not Iranians.
