Why do we have to cut our nails but animals don't?!!

I haven't tried them on a cat but they are no good at all on a pitbull or any large breed dog- their nails are too thick and it would take a week to grind them down. I ended up giving it away to my neighbor for her chihuahua and she said it was okay but still took a long time.

It is hard to get an animal to sit still very long.

Oh my goodness! I am not showing your post to my 10 year old daughter. She is nail polish mad! If she thought it possible to manicure the guinneas she would! Luckily they are way too wriggly and practically have to be pinned down, poor little mites. I dread having to clip them. It's such an ordeal.

I have a Savannah cat. Half domestic cat half African Serval.
If his nails don’t get clipped everything he touches gets destroyed.
Furniture, bedding, curtains...even our hard wood floors get marks.
Not to mention, trying to stop him from doing something and he decides to take a swipe at you.
You will need stitches.
But ya, pretty much all animals need to trim their nails.
Our German shepherd bites his own off.

Have you ever tried typing with 2 inch long fingernails. I don't think they make shoes to accommodate 2 inch toe nails. Unless it's clown shoes.

Is this a curse from god himself? Animals can dig, they can cut things with their nails and never need to cut any nails off.

We have to always cut our nails our else it grow super long. Our nails are useless. We can't use it for digging, they are fragile as heck compare to animals and we can't even use its to attack people without our nail snapping.

My dog chews the nails on her rear paws....
