Question...since this was settled and Trump was not prosecuted how does this admit guilt of breaking a law? It was a LAWSUIT not a criminal case.

Since the Dem's Coup plans are falling apart, ABC Nightly News made this a top story tonight, as if to say "Ah ha! We've finally got him!".

Indeed. It makes one wonder about those tax returns and Michael Cohen's claim that Trump adjusts property value for loan one way and for taxes another way.

Loan fraud?

Wow, that would be embarrassing.

Lying about the one thing that most people claim as proof of his “genius” ... this is really disheartening.

Employing a Constitutional remedy to the misdeeds of a civil officer is not a coup.

Are you saying it’s not against the law to misappropriate funds from a charity?

It is.

The question “what has Trump done illegally?” has now been answered clearly.

Given the pattern of repeated and blatant disregard for the law I have to wonder what else follows?

He probably slept with an intern or destroyed servers with Bleachbit.

*shakes an angry fist at Donald Trump!*

I am saddened to know that the President of the United States has admitted to the misappropriation of charity funds.

Aren’t you?

Devastated.

Will probably cry myself to sleep tonight.

My condolences.

Way too much ignorance on this thread .
Including the opening OP
Was it not the Foundation ?
Meaning the folks that were over the Trump Foundation .
That is the way I have read it all .
Do folks really believe that Trump oversaw every single minute detail of all his businesses ?
You are kidding yourself if you believe so.

Denying ignorance .
Why ?
This one reeks of it.

The case is tied to a televised fundraiser for veterans held by Trump in Iowa when he was running for president in January 2016. Trump had said the funds raised would be distributed to charities. But according to court documents, the Trump Foundation improperly used $2.82 million it received from that fundraiser.

According to the judgment, that money "was used for Mr. Trump's political campaign and disbursed by Mr. Trump's campaign staff, rather than by the Foundation," which is unlawful. However, Justice Saliann Scarpulla says the funds did eventually reach charity organizations supporting veterans

$2.8 MILLION misappropriated? That was supposed to go to charities benefiting our veterans???

That’s obscene.

Well, Mr. Trump said his followers would defend him if he shot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue ...

... this is about that despicable, in my opinion.

You may be one of the few that actually cares about our vets (of which I am included in) but most "celebrating" this victory against Trump wouldn't piss on us if we were on fire.

I’m sure.

It must really be difficult for some folks to accept that Trump stole $2.8 MILLION from our veterans.

I can understand your being upset.

Cowboy, I do honor our veterans every chance I get. Many of my best friends served, and I find the way we treat you guys abominable and inexcusable.

I am not happy that Mr. Trump has been shown to be dishonest on this level. It’s a sad day for America.

Anyone gloating over it ... well, I would have to question their integrity; I’ll leave it at that.

How does this affect me? It doesn’t.
Just stop with the fake outrage over $2.8 million.
Where is the Leftist outrage over some of their candidates wanting to steal $52 trillion from the taxpayers for the open border health care plan?
If any of those assholes somehow find a way to cheat their way into the WH, I will quit my damn job and let them support me because I am not going to bust my ass at work to pay more taxes.

As part of the settlement, Trump admitted to misusing Trump Foundation funds and agreed to limitations placed on future charitable work.

He doesn’t get to walk it back now sorry.
