Although it was very hard to get through, i thought the interview was good, especially for those not familiar wirh snowdens story. One thing i did notice is snowdens excessive shaking, he was either very nervous or has some type of disposition, i was mentally urging him to get a sugary drink or something, it was that noticeable.

In regards to joe rogan, i enjoy a lot of his shows, not necessarily the UFC guests (as he does a lot of those, being affiliated with them), but he does cover a lot of alternate ideas through his guests. A task which most hosts wont take on, so, fairplay to him for that. I think he'll be around for a while, his popularity is growing so his shows will soften from the altetnative view, i think.

I’ve managed to get to about the 2 hour mark and it’s not bad. Between the book promotion and guided college lecture format here...it makes it tough. But hearing his story in this dialogue is a lot better than reading about it in a magazine or watching a report about it on the news.

I’m sure at this point he’s manipulated certain parts of his story to support his belief system, but regardless it’s important information for people to digest.

I’m at the point where I hate that the government has access to so much of our lives but I’m a law abiding citizen and 1 of 350 million. I live a boring life...if they want to listen to my wife and I comforting our infant at 2am, by all means...listen in. I could care less. But I still always worry about how an individuals private life can be used against them.

One big takeaway I’ve gotten from this podcast is that incoming presidents are, according to Snowden, basically told by the intelligence community that they’ll get a re-election as long as the administration stays out of their (CIA, NSA, FBI, etc.) way. If not, then they will run a non-stop smear campaign against them for as long as it takes to get the President to either break to their will, or replace them with a new president. And that it’s been like that since the Kennedy administration.

I would say other than Bush Sr., because he WAS the intelligence community for many years, Kennedy, Nixon, Carter and Ford maybe didn’t play by their rules? And now we see Trump being beaten to death by the media. We know the Clintons, Obama and GWB played by their rules and nobody really got in their way.

Most of this isn’t really new to a skeptic and open mind but this, if true, certainly connects a lot of dots that we’ve been starring at for a long time.
