Making it easier for people to be self employed won't help. There will always be a need for employees. We need to stop pretending like being an
employee is a bad thing, and we should accept bad conditions for them. The majority of work available will ALWAYS be as employees. Heck most small
businesses fail terribly leaving massive debt. Telling people who don't have what it takes to start a business is as bad as trying to convince
everyone to go to college.
Not everyone is cut out for college, or opening a small business. Some people are simply grunts, and that's ok, we need them, and no one can succeed
without having some grunts working for them. We need to stop pretending like everyone can own a small business, succeed at college and find a high
paying job with their degree, or work infinite hours without falling apart. Not everyone has these capabilities, and that's ok, we still need them to
keep society afloat. What's not ok is throwing these people, who are the vast majority of society, under the bus, for the benefit of the few.
I'm not saying grunt work deserves a mansion, luxury cars, or anything absurd like that, but stability, yeah they deserve that. Is why we need to
find a way to make the pay from jobs come after the basic needs of food, shelter and medical care is met. Welfare as I've said has a problem in that
it does the same thing a low end job does, but without the work. Work needs to stop being the source of basic necessities, ESPECIALLY medical
care.
Oh right, and another problem with welfare, it cuts off WAY before you're working enough to cover everything you lose when you get off it. The
biggest thing being the medical care. I can't count on one hand how many people I know personally who are stuck on welfare because near any amount of
work will cut off their health benefits, and none of them can afford a lapse in coverage.
