Here are my problems with the Skinny Bob video:

1. Why is it so short? Surely, if you were documenting a bonafide alien, you would have hours of him. And yet we are left with a few seconds of him/she/it/they doing absolutely nothing identifiable except "doing some movements and blinking for the camera".

2. What is the footage supposed to show? The alien doing something unidentifiable? That's not how you document with a camera. What is it doing? Can't be bothered to keep that in frame? Being measured for height, but no visible scale? The footage serves no practical purpose other than being mysteriously elusive and showing off the creature being measured and moving.

Some clever people made this, for sure, but I doubt very much it was to document something.

Cheers,
BT

Others have mentioned it: why is there a noise from a projector? If his is a digital camera recording of a projected movie, there shouldnt be loud projector noise, should there?

Why not?

I have some old family videos where we set up our Super 8mm projector and my brother recorded it with a VHS camcorder I believe..

The projector noise almost drowns out my dad narrating the film...

It just depends on where the projector and the recorder are positioned I'd expect.

If it's play in a movie theater, you probably wouldn't hear the projector. If it were in a small viewing room, then for sure you might hear the projector.

1) Licensed Daz Studios Poser
2) A bit of time and a good , stout system to render .
3) Dub the audio

And there you go.

This was my thought exactly. Why are they filming it/him/her? They appear to be pushing buttons, or doing some sort of activity.

Also, if you look right above it's left eye, there is what appears to be a face. (2 eyes and a nose). I know it is supposed to be blemishes or whatever. But in the video, keep an eye on that portion. It moves, but something about it looks fabricated to me.

Judy Faltskog

Judy, Judy, Judy. The NASA astrophysicist who received alien UV signals on a radio telescope? Not that Judy Faltskog. Please tell me not.

Thanks for linking that Phage.
It brought back memories from the original hoax thread.

The picture doesn't edit itself. I think the earlier post that a animatronic was created if it were a hoax. The thing is creating a animatronic as good as the one in the video requires a lot of money and effort.

But you do make a good point. If it were live and not an animatronic, it would walk around and do gestures with a wider variety of movements corresponding to the way live bone and flesh looks.

Spending so much money for something like this seems like evidence for supporting it is real.

And I could do the same with Poser.
Just looked and a there are a lot of Poser models for sale looking just like the alien.
I wouldnt even have to use Maya to wireframe and mesh it
Just buy the darn thing

many of your questions are answered in the original video. true or not
see here www.youtube.com...

apparently they didnt release more because of legal reasons and i think if they were to set up all of those scenes with the dead alien and the downed/flying craft, it would have been advantageous to use them for more than a few seconds at a time. modeling distinct faces for multiple aliens would be a huge task for for only a couple seconds of footage, a gigantic waste of time. not to mention the alien autopsy clip that lasts less then 5 seconds.
Doesnt make it automatically real, but you're points dont make it automatically fake either.
i think it looks real, that's what im going on as it's the only way to tell for sure.
the story, the length of the clips, all that doesnt show us as much as the CGI would if it is indeed CGI or a mix of live actors and CG animation.
i think setting up those shots, whether real or CG, would have benefited from a longer duration and making them so short obviously makes them less believable so why do it?

I agree that it is baffling that someone would go through all the effort to create this, but as long as we don"t know the source (another red flag, btw) there is no way to know the reasoning.

Could be for fun. Could be to troll. Could even be some kind of Cold War psy-op.

It doesn't look natural to me because it moves a bit too much like an animatronic puppet.

As it is purported footage of a creature that is not known to science, any red flag is honestly a flag too many in my book.

It is very well done, I'll give them that. But not good enough to convince me it is not a puppet.

you actually think it's a puppet? that's good enough for me.
knowing that we are looking at a physical object is more than I can say for most skeptics.
sometimes they'll say it looks animatronic and then retract their statement because of backlash.

Good on you. It is technically unknown, you're right.

The arm movement is way to mechanical to be real .

Believe it or not.

Aliens never dress the way humans dress nor move the way humans move.
Cameras do record sounds.

And yes..."hiding in plain sight" works.

I believe the jerking motion is due to the alien performing some sort of task.
I had heard he is working with a star chart but I can't confirm that.

But if you've ever tried to solve a puzzle, especially fast, you likely made similar movements.

It seems there are between 3 and 7 of these little Bobs.

The walking part starts with 1 up close and 2 behind. If you count the shapes that cross in front of the 2 walkers behind, it looks like there could be up to 3 others walking between the camera and them. And then another walker comes up from the rear.

Or could it be humans in dark clothing walking beside them, closer to the camera?

Between 1:12 and for 1:22 - How many body shapes do You see?

Well, it doesn't matter much what I think, of course. Only to me, I guess.

I'm not really sceptical towards there being life in the universe elswhere. I'm just sceptical this is footage of it.

That doesn't mean the clip as an artifact isn't interesting, though. The very fact that someone spent a lot of effort creating it is interesting in of itself, in my view.

Who did it and why? What was the point? How was it done? Many intriguing questions.

Well worth a look for anyone with the time and resources to get anywhere.

I watched this a zillion times when it was new. I kept trying to figure out if these were little human kids.

But, am I wrong, or does the one in the background (@1:16), does she have breast?

Not sure if it is the way it walks or the hips or what, but it sure seems female too me.

The elbows are in the right place to be human, but with long super skinny arms and longer forearms than a human.

Yet if you stop it at 1:12 you can see that where the human hand should be, the arm gets thicker, before it goes into a long, skinny un-human hand.

It could be that the thicker part of the forearm IS a human hand that is holding onto a fake alien hand, which is the part sticking out.

I see nothing puppet like in these beings, in fact they look very human, walking along all lais·sez-faire and all.

They could be walking with a military escort, going to a meeting with military brass on a desert air base.

I mean they look way too casual to have just came out of a crash.

"Oh yeah, no problem, we crash all the time. You humans and your damn adolescent radar beams!"

For clarification:

The “Family Vacation” video does state that they were “special agent” escorts – not specifically “military” as I posted above. It also says there were 3 subjects who were filmed – meaning the other moving bodies seen in the video below would be the special agents.

www.youtube.com...

Also, when Bob is standing under the *height measure scale* (@2:25 in this separate video) there are NO bumps in his forearms for human hands to be covered up.

As stated before, even the "best" of these videos are simply horrible; as if the people who took these videos had no idea how a camera works, how to hold it steady, what to point it at, or anything. Now, maybe these bits ended up on the editing room floor and somebody dug these fragments out of the trash. But that seems unlikely given the high degree of classification they would have had.

Also, they very conveniently show just enough to get you to think there was a story behind them, when those most important parts would have also been the parts they would have done their best with. It's staged. It's like a movie trailer. Show confusing clips of the best parts, but try not to give you spoilers. Let you fill in the gaps with your own imagination.
