Fallout 76 players: messaging problems?

All day yesterday, I couldn't message my friend/teammate. I know he would have responded. So I tested many other players, accessing their "send message" via clicking on them on the map and using the Social bumper/button. Nothing. Dead silence. People are usually prompt and polite, responding to messages pretty quickly. Either my messages aren't getting out and/or I'm not receiving replies. One other guy on reddit (PC user) said he was experiencing the same thing. I'm using xbox one. Are any of you experiencing it too? I tried to create a Bethesda ticket, but I have now locked myself out. They need the date I signed up for a Bethesda account to recreate it..... as if I would have kept an email from YEARS ago. I guess I will in the future, Sheesh.

Anyway, any info you have would be appreciated. I'm lvl 94, and if I can't play as a team, I'm not sure it's worth going on. It brought so much more fun into the game. And it's very tough to be part of team if the team can't communicate.

Hello Wastelander,

I play on PS4 and they have a messaging app for your phone or tablet. Does Xbox offer one? With this app I was able to chat with my fellows and team up.

I’ll be starting a new character on Xbox soon. My dad plays on Xbox and needs a wingmandaughter.

Bethesda shut down my server with only a 3-minute warning last week. I had just claimed Poseidon and used 12 gears for a fusion generator
I tried to open a help ticket to let them know they need to provide more warning or not throw us onto servers they plan to take down. But, yeah, I couldn’t log in to my Bethesda account

As it turned out, it *wasn't* a Fallout problem. The xbox needed to be rebooted. But your response is great.

It's alot better now. I got it on the cheap ($18 instead of $58). Having played FO3, 4 and LV, I guess you could say I'm just a fan.

I paid $18 for a $58 game, and it's given me countless hours of fun. It was garbage when it first came out, from what I hear and have seen online, but I haven't experiencing anything worse than, er, my head not appearing once. Additionally, I think it's unwise to do new content until it's been out for a while and only after doing a search to see what other people are experiencing. However, there are only a few franchises I really enjoy, and this is one of them.

Maybe someday I'll get into Kingdom Come...definitely looking forward to Outer Worlds. Red Dead Redemption? Hate cowboy stuff. Borderlands? Couldn't get past the first abominable snowbeasts, whatever they were. Ad infinitum.

This turned out to be an xbox problem, not FO76. The console needed a reboot.
