So today I turn 34 (cries in fetal position) and my sister got me a cake, I've never had a birthday cake before so this will be my 1st one. I feel too old for cake, but happy at the fact it's my first cake and my sister thought about me. Not just one from the store either, she made it personal, with one of my favourite bands on the top and some lights, Presumably so I can find it in the dark and binge myself into a coma.
So a rare departure from my normal eating style, I will probably have the sugar shakes tomorrow and recurring dreams of bathing in Oreos and sipping on Dr Pepper for a week til this crap is out of my system again.

Anyways, I think I am too old for cake, but you don't turn your nose up at someone doing something special for you!

Oh .... before I forget, a REAL Man likes his name in pink! or so I heard ...

Happy Day of Birthing.

You should eat the eyes first.

34! You are a baby. It's a toward skid after 30. After 50 things stop working that you did not know you had or needed!

You could eat the eyes then wear his face as a mask.

Just sayin'

Not sure what to make of this except to say happy birthday.

But quick question - why has it taken you 34 yrs to receive that birthday cake?? Seems a little odd.

But nah your never to old for cake.

As for your sugar concerns - you only had to eat a slice (sounds like you may have downed the whole cake), then maybe donate the rest down at your local homeless shelter or similiar and share that lovely love your sister showed you.

Lucky guy to have someone who cares so much to put in so much effort.

Happy birthday.

I can't wait to hear my bones cracking when I get out of a chair, I'll know I've made it

Now I'm thinking you think I have a head the size of that fella on Beetlejuice ...

CthruU

Honestly, I don't know how to answer that, just a weird family thing, I've never even heard the words 'i love you' in my family, and me and my sisters only started hugging each other after my Mam died, I remember the first time my sister hugged me, I was crying like a baby after just losing my Mam and she came over wrapped her arms around me and my first thought was ''wtf is happening'' ... anyway not gonna get into all that.
I'm gonna share it with my 2 sisters, my dad and 2 nephews, one niece, I couldn't eat that thing to myself if I tried, I was making it to be a big deal because I normally have no sugar in my diet at all. Thanks

Atsbhct

Am starting to think you're right.

"Too old for cake."

I know what each of those words mean, but together in that order.. I cant even.. Its like it turns into hieroglyphics.

Happy Birthday!

Being a peasant myself, I never let a birthday go by without proudly partaking as Marie Antoinette commanded:
"Let them eat cake!"

Enjoy, add ice cream schedule serious bathroom time tomorrow....

Happy Birthday! Nice cake. (My favourite is chocolate. I haven't had birthday cake in years. I guess I have to make my own if I want it. I'm 48.)

A few words of advice from a (not so) old and (not so) wise man:

1. One is never too old for cake. Nor for ice cream. I do appreciate your abstinence from sugar ... But cake and ice cream ...

2. 34 is not old.

3. 40 is pretty much the top of the hill. It's a downhill slide from there, slow at first then gradually gaining momentum.

You may be too old for cake, but never too old to eat balls..

hahahha..

joyous celebrations replete with enact scenes of blasphemy, lust and destruction, on your remembrance of that first canal expulsion.

And cake.

:eta: Oh and .. when you're almost 50, you stop crying.. You make others cry, instead. you damn whipper snippers...
