As far as the (R) in that sentence. I removed it when a poster complained. You are posting from the sentence I included in thread for transparency sake.

As far as the (R) in the original article? It is against T&C to alter articles and ethically it is a bridge too far to edit articles to please wingnuts vulnerability to be triggered.

As far as bolding "Pennsylvania state Sen. Michael Folmer (R)" in the actual article. I honestly thought nothing of the (R) being bolded, I thought of it as an identifier and frankly am still stunned how many right-wingers were deeply triggered. I made absolutely no correlation between Republicans and Pedophiles in the OP or in posts.

It speaks to something odd, maybe involving Pizzagate thinking, I don't know, but it still amazes me the amount of anger and deflection over the letter (R).

No, I was fully transparent in my editing and went as far to post in thread showing the edit before and after for reference to readers.

Folmer was charged with sexual abuse of children, possession of child pornography, and criminal use of a communication facility. Senior Deputy Attorney General Christopher Jones will prosecute the case.
