On a personal note;
This was my very last ATS short story contest as organiser/facilitator.
I have very much enjoyed seeing our new writing talent taking root, then growing and blossoming within these hallowed pages.
The encouragement, goodwill and support that you all give freely to the newer writers is what it's all about for me.
Long may that continue.

Thanks for putting in the time and effort Gordi. I really hope somebody steps in to fill the position because this is just too much fun for some of us and it would be missed.

Congratulations to our two newest writers... awesome entries.

And to all who took the time to submit a short story this time... there is a lot of great talent out there.

Let's hope someone will attempt to fill Gordi's shoes although that may be a tall order...

Thank you everyone & Gordi! It was a neat contest. I enjoyed reading the very different responses to the topic.
It just shows how something as simple sounding as winning the lottery, can be interpreted so many different ways.

In case anyone missed it, I will run the threads for the future contests, with help of fellow mods to count votes and offer support.
You'll see more details soon.
And hopefully the contests will run as smoothly as Gordi's efforts.

I hope to have the next contest soon, possibly early December, late November.
