Guns are designed specifically to fire ammunition towards a target, everything else is up to the user.

The targets are living creatures, which includes humans.

They weren't designed for "sport," or "target practice," historically. But to kill other humans or to kill for food: to kill.

Again, what you fire at is most definitely up to the user. For me, pretty much paper targets with the occasional safely fired into the ground to frighten an animal that does not need to be there such as a coyote or aggressive dog I have not seen before. None of my firearms have ever been used to kill anything. Some have never been fired since I have owned them. Even a couple that have never been loaded since I have owned them.

Which statistically speaking makes them infinitely safer (as in no killing) in my possession than to be owned by anyone else on the planet. You can argue that point, of course, but not based on evidence to date. Just hypothetical future events.

I, myself neither open nor conceal carry. Many people do, usually concealed. Doesn’t bother me. Some people don’t own any firearms. Doesn’t bother me. Might just be me, but I don’t think I am the one with a problem that needs addressing on some level or another.

Add Target, Aldi, Meijer, Albertsons, Publix, Costco, and Trader Joe's to the list.

This absolutely virtue signaling from these stores. They don't want to go through the legal hassle of out and out banning them but want all the kudos on social media.

And of course all the people are eati6 this up like it is going to save the world and they will be so much safer now. Boggles...

How many "military assault weapons" with multiple "clips" with "high capacity bullets" can one person carry under a burka?

Why would someone being scared of a burka be less valid than someone scared of a gun just because they can see it? Why doesn't their fears matter to these stores?
