Dear ATS Readers, Writers,

At the link I am about to provide, you will find an interview with a Google engineer, and he blows the whistle on the dodgy things they and "big tech" has been up to.

I did a search, didn't see it "pop up"; so here goes.

Regardless of how some people might feel about the source of this interview; the information within the video from the Google engineer is pretty revealing, in my opinion.

I do believe he demonstrates that beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Google lied to congress....and he uses Google's own "tools" to prove Google has been up to "no good".

It only shows me what I have figured for a long time.

We have been being lied to for a long time folks. We get half truths, and sometimes outright lies for news/information.
I think it opens the door into showing people "just how sophisticated" they have become on manipulating the masses to go with "their" will.

If you thought propaganda was effective during the previous 2 world wars... try to imagine how "refined" different flavours of propaganda have become, utilising all the technical advances since those terrible times on earth.

For what it is worth... watch it for the info from the Google guy...if nothing else.

At least they are getting more out in the open about it and the American citizenry can make an informed choice the next election cycle.

Well it is a private company, a very large, rich and influential company.

If they want to use their massive influence to subvert the rights of the american people and inflict their massive power unto a sovereign nation, it's there right to do so.

Because Russia has massive worldwide economic power, russian nationals are buying up large amounts of US soil, russia is investing heavily in hollywood, major tech companies are bending their knee to russian will regarding speech and content, all the while russia is engaging in large scale cyber ops.........

Hello Heruactic, it isn't easy to bullet point...waiting til your lunch break, or after work to watch it would be best.

They lied to Congress when they testified they didn't fiddle with the search result algorythms for one thing. And this Google exec shows that they DID, and found over 40 pages of "blacklisted" websites/contributors to youtube for example. There is a lot more info in the video as well.

Watch the video, and come to your own conclusions is really all I should probably say on it.

Already several are trying to make it into a left-right argument in the thread...which it is NOT...but yet, IT IS. It is the "left leaning" big tech outfits doing wrong things. Benefitting the "left" unfairly, and censoring other viewpoints, or other arguments.

It is "stuff" going on that is really far more sinister in nature.

Considering the ties to the Google/Chinese government that Google dude exposed as well.... makes me wonder how much the USA should trust Google. (From a national security standpoint)

What is going on is/will be used by the people in power for control and loss of freedoms, left OR right leaning. It is the "nature" of governments to do those nefarious deeds. Never in history has such types of behaviour come out for the good of the common man.

Again, this is nothing but propaganda meant to scare the poop out of conservatives so that the government can bring their authoritarian internet regulation to fruition. The flipside of this fear porn for the left is shutting down websites like ATS.

Stop falling for it. The internet is the last bastion of liberty. Don't give it away for the guise of protection.

If you don't like Google then simply stop using their products.

Beside manipulation of the masses Google and other tech companies are just another version of Epstein, where they gather information on you and if you get to the right position in govt they will use it to own you.

Greetings interupt42, you bring up a good point about possible blackmail down the road for anyone who gets into that "government gig" for life.

That whole level of society, regardless of country, or political belief system is so chock full of "snakes, power seekers, and malcontents, backstabbers, etc"

Sure wish you would have given a summary of what the supposed whistleblower alledges.

How hard is it to list the soecific points they made? Or even a general summary? Less general than "propoganda." Sheesh.

Since it is in the video...and he shows in the video how they did it, etc. Sorry I didn't get down to the nitty gritty details for you. It involves terminologies, and technologies I haven't a clue about...

How hard is it to just watch the video if you want to know more?

I purposefully did not mention my "take" on it that much because I wanted people to view it, and come to their own conclusions.

In the format it was given, it was hard (for me) to bullet point anything really... but if you watched it, you would know that too.
