I threw out my back and at home trying to keep myself entertained. Of course
sharing my ramblings on ATS.
This band is something else.

Like the music and the words are interesting too, kinda like ancient and modern at the same time.

Those instruments are work's of pure art, love the way he made the horse neigh with the string's.
They worked that brilliantly, sounded more western than Asian.
Of course there would have been a lot of studio mixing to get it that good so perhaps not as good live but still cool.

Of course they never conquered Japan it took the US to do that, though you know had it not been for a divine wind thing's would have been very different since Temugen's grandson tried only for the storm to sink his fleet before it could land his army in Japan.

I love this, very different to that mongol art, you have probably heard this before though.

You have me hooked I am now listening to the Hu youtube channel.

System of a Down were Armenian, it's always interesting to see/hear cultural influences in metal, it's a style that can translate in ways that at first would seem impossible. Metal scoffs at your borders!

Love The Hu!

Also came across this awhile ago and keep compulsively returning to it.

Not a swastika, it is a Buddhist symbol that's been around over 1000 years

Of coarse it's a swastika. Do you have a preferred name for it? There was a guy in Albuquerque, in the 70s-80s who put one one his roof with Christmas lights every winter. He made the local news but back then everyone was smart enough, or maybe not # in the head enough, to just enjoy the display. Freedom and all that ya know.

Oof, I was going to comment on that, in jest, but felt it would have not been well received.

Damn nazis getting in everywhere...

Naww, you HAVE to be kidding..

hahaha, if not, well... you live and learn

(eta, I thought we all knew that by now, it's history is as old as culture, till the nazis stole it.)

Ningen Isu is awesome...so much Black Sabbath influence in the guitars...Those dudes play super tight, and are insanely talented.

I love the throat singing sound. Sounds weird, but I read years ago that it is good for men and does something to
testosterone levels. It might be why Asian men, (think Japanese) speak in a very loud low tone.

That would not explain why a large portion of Asian languages are nasal...and with high birth rates.
