Guns and ammo are not that expensive. I dont know what he used but you can get AR15s for $400-$500... Even cheaper if he bought a used one in a pawn shop or someplace similar..


You are putting way too much thought in this..

Ammo? $10-$20 per box.. FMJs are really cheap. 50 round boxes for less then $20...

Reminds me of people asking the question about the Las Vegas shooter..

Shooter used a WASR-10. AK-pattern rifle, it's a Romanian import. Not an AR.

Regardless, for someone with no money or assets, who was both unemployed and, recently, "moved out," I question how he afforded any weaponry. Is there a way to tell how long he "owned" his rifle, I wonder?

It's more believable that this broke nerd paid for gas to get down there than it is to just magically handwave him having a long rifle that costs more than some peoples' rent.
