There have been reports leaking out for some time that there is a prison somewhere for alien species that have been caught. In these claims, somewhere between 20-50 different alien species have been recovered. Maybe it is all bunk, but with 10 000's of UFO reports each year maybe we should not be too dismissive of these claims.

Looking into the exopolitical situation the human form is common as it does make a practical and capable form. An alien breakout is one theory going around with this event, if 1 million people do show up it makes for a good opportunity and distraction to try and break free. A public push for disclosure can also help achieve these aims, but in a more measured approach.

Another theory is that some cleansing event is to take place. A galactic battle between heaven and hell where most people on the surface will not notice a thing. With the public attention that is building it is directing more resources into the area. Looking into the area, it is very cagey region with a lot of secrets and problems. Environmental conditions and worker rights are topics more commonly discussed.
