A constitutional republic in name only.
In reality it is a fascist state with the government serving industry.
"Definition of fascism
1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the
individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and
forcible suppression of opposition" - merriam-Webster
Nope. That's not the United States.
Sadly, in too many ways it IS the United States.
Not even a little. Give me some examples because I don't see it.
True, our nationality is an important part of our overall collective ethos, but that is an important part of any country's cohesiveness. We
definitely exalt the individual over nation and race. That's plain as day.
We certainly don't have a centralized autocratic dictatorship. In fact, sometimes it's so divisive that nothing much is accomplished, and it's so
decentralized that the central government is split by 3 branches, there are 50 states and some territories that govern in different ways, and each
state has countless municipalities that also govern in different ways.
We certainly don't have severe economic and social regimentation. I'm free to earn as much money as I'm willing to work for, strategize the most
efficient ways to expand and earn the highest revenues possible, and I'm free to go and do pretty much whatever I want wherever I want whenever I
want. I can pray to God the father through the spirit in Jesus name, or I could be silly and practice wicca or be an atheist. I could spend my
life focused on football, follow mainstream politics and get involved, live in the national forests (camping indefinitely). I could travel to
Colorado and smoke pot, stay in Texas and collect guns, or even take the appropriate steps to lawfully make explosives and blow stuff up in the
county for YouTube views if I were at all interested in it which I'm not.
Forcible suppression of opposition. OK, that's beginning to occur more and more often, but it isn't government policy. It's mostly half cocked
representatives advocating it and private citizens attempting to enforce it. Otherwise, I'm free to oppose any ideology I wish, and I'm in no way
afraid of government action against me for it.
I will concede that modern Democratic leadership and the far left are beginning to demonstrate fascist characteristics more and more, but it still is
a stretch to call even then fascist.
