Colonel Roji Studerivont commanded the Cruise Ship 4 with about 2,500 souls on it. It was struck by a rogue asteroid and Colonel Studervont stayed with the ship in an effort to save as many passengers as possible. While he had issued a Black Alert commanding all passengers to evacuate immediately, he made a point to add "Purple for Colonel" to the Beacon before firing it toward the nearest Probe receiver. A Purple Alert advises all on board to cease evacuating and prepare to sacrifice their lives. He only gave that order to himself, telling know one.

The law states crew may evacuate after 90% of passenger souls have been safely removed from a Cruise Ship. Colonel Studerivont's leadership and sacrifice allowed 97% of passengers to escape with their lives as well as 82% of the crew.

When the first Mobile Star Port was commissioned, there was little debate that it would be named after the heroic efforts of Colonel Roji Studerivont. The Star Port was located just outside the Sun Solar System. It was a ship's last stop before leaving the Milky Way Galaxy or their first stop as they entered.

This was during peacetime of the 2700's. Most ships were outbound to explore and populate the universe. Few returned and of those that did, it was usually a mechanical issue, making Studerivont the most logical stop before returning to the vastness of the rest of the universe.

While it was a mobile star port, it moved very little during it's tenure.

Terminals A and E each had 100 gates for small, micro and nano class ships. This was the bulk of their traffic but not the bulk of the Star Port's daily soul count. There were 10 decks on each terminal with 10 gates on each deck. Each terminal was a circle shaped tower on either side of the port.

There is a premium lounge for each terminal with separate areas for 1st, 2nd and 3rd class passengers.

Terminal I had 100 gates for medium class ships. Terminal I was next to Terminal A. It had ten concourses with ten gates connected to each concourse. It also had a premium lounge and all the snack shops and quick stores you'd expect to find at a port.

Terminal O was next to Terminal E. It supported large class ships with ten concourses of five gates each. The amenities for each terminal were more or less the same.

Terminal U supported capitol class ships. It had one large concourse consisting of 5 massive gates.

Terminal S supported galaxy class ships. It had one concourse with 1 gate. These ships created a challenge to bring in and send out. The loading and unloading of passengers was also an incredible chore as well as the sudden spike in foot traffic on the star port. Often, galaxy class passengers were loaded and unloaded in groups of time slots.

In addition to the ship docks available to the general public, there was a Terminal T for cargo ships that supported the Star Port. It had a single concourse with 10 gates.

There was a Terminal B which is located above all the other terminals. Fighters were stationed here to protect and patrol the Star Port. Ten concourses with ten gates per concourse housed a total of 100 fighters.

Finally, Terminal F housed escape ships and escape pods. There were a total of 500 of these with 5 loaded in each tunnel. There were 100 tunnels. This was a very informal arrangement because if you needed to get on one of these, you weren't going to do any waiting!

An observation tower provided a lookout for space port traffic but the bulk of the load was managed by super computers.

Beneath all of this was a full functioning mall which provided everyone with products and commerce.

Below the mall were the living coins (living quarters). It took 1,000 crewmen to operate the Star Port itself, not including the ships. The pennies could support a total of 5,000 inhabitants, allowing families to live with the employees.

Below the living pennies were the mechanical floors and storage areas to keep the Star Port functioning.

And below all of that was a long term storage area for small, micro and nano class ships.

The Star Port was designed for a total soul count of 10,000 but when a galaxy class ship arrived, this number could easily spike to 50,000.

It was an exciting place to work and live until the war broke out. While designed to be mobile, these structures were the snails of the universe so they were easy targets.

Once the Studerivont was destroyed, it was only a matter of short time before the Tripidions discovered the location of Earth One.

But this post is about the Studerivont in it's peak of glory; a happier time in a brighter age when humanity was enjoying a few 100 years of general peace.

Did you ever stop there or did you hear of anyone that did? Please share your stories.
