Remember how in "Close Encounters" All the protagonists where urged to go to Devils Tower in Wyoming?
What if this is something like that and not really a joke after all? JS.

Well, better get your motel reservations in right away.

Oh, wait......

There aren't any.
And it's 100 degrees (F) out.
No shade
Umm, no bus service
No gas stations
No Porta Potties
25 miles walk to the base itself from the highway
It's a federal crime to enter the base
and.....
use of lethal force authorized

REALLY good idea.

I found a photo of the originator of this plan....Amazing!!

Did it happen to be a American base on German soil? In Australia, there is no "authorized kill zones" nor do any signs say "deadly force bla bla bla"

The Air Force is screwed.

Wow, this is an issue.

Between the fact that chuck norris is bulletproof and that no man would dare fire on him(even though he's bulletproof) for fear of directing his wraith upon his whole family.

You have the obvious problem that he can kung fu his way through atleast 10K armed men.

At this point, they should just get a big airship and pick up the whole base and move it.

Maybe some think that Eisenhouwer is still president and want to do him a solid .......and therefore not expecting something solid in return.

The term " fish in a barrel " comes to mind.

Some guy : hey, let's invade a top secret, highly protected military facility where the use of deadly force is authorized to stop intruders.

The internet : Cool !

Morons.

I used to work in a place where if I did not recognize the person walking towards me down the tunnel it was my duty to shoot until I was sure that they were dead and then make the phone call.

I'm not sure the interwebz normies understand...

~shrug~

Oh crap! Bob shaved his beard and got a haicut.

A lot of the signs around bases have had "Use Of Deadly Force Authorized" removed from them.

Plus, the croud will be infiltrated by people that work for the government, don't you think?
What sane mind would want to be caught dead there. Pun intended.

It may not be on the sign, but is it still authorized?

I'd assume so if the threat is assessed to be high enough.

Wouldn't it be exciting if aliens showed up to defend the American people from the American military!

why? it's a simple process. Guys with guns are there to protect the assets of the military. By deadly force if needed.

If a citizen is stupid enough to breach the barrier, be prepared to be ventilated. Even if you really didn't mean it.

If there is a weapon, or active threat, then yes. Something like a car trying to crash the gate, they'll light you up in a heartbeat.

Specifically in Australia? I've never seen a sign in my life with any semblance of "if you tresspass we'll kill you" written on them over here. Mind you, I've only been past a couple. Granted, I dont think there's anything worth killing over, hiding in any Aus military facility! excluding Ping Gap maybe.

Great, now the American people are the enemy of the US military. Great. This is not going to end well for the people!!

I guess it does answer that age old question, " Would the US military fire on US citizens?"

Yup.

Or more importantly why are we spending so much money on the military when it did absolutely NOTHING to protect us on 9/11 ????????

I'm sure there is a facility where they are experimenting with combat kangaroo's(head mounted lasers, thought control implants, etc).

You try to break into that baby and you'll probably get shot.

Oh lordy. Only in 2019 does anybody believe people will seriously show up to storm a base . It's just a joke. The effort to sign an internet petition is less than breathing.

KTNV TV13 Early reports from Area 51 show multiple casualties, some say as high as 200, and injuries in the thousands. Many brush fires have been started by angry civilians and one helicopter has been shot down with no survivors. Despite live fire from the military, waves of civilians storm the site, many with weapons and in some places full scale assault with automatic weapons on both sides. Early reports confirm that..... .... .. ..

Nope... it was a German base.

I'm surprised at you Aussies nowadays... the Aussies I served with in Germany were some real men and were pretty hard-core.

Y'all always won the fights at the bars against Brits, anyways.

I guess that gun confiscation thing pretty much neutered your country.

A pity.
