Well said you’re right it is better understood as awareness and thank you for your post.
I know I that I don’t have the best at grammar and punctuation or have the largest vocabulary but I do know the message Im trying to communicate so about the language part I was talking about the OP it comes from when we hear that little voice in our head the voice you hear when you’re reading, Is that voice not aware do you not think using the language? Have you never thought a really good comeback you could’ve said in an argument that happened two weeks ago?
How would describe that phenomenon without saying the word conscious or consciousness?
Very insightful so the internal dialogue comes from thinking, which isn’t the same as consciousness which is actually being aware of having thought itself.

I did enjoy your OP, and understood your POV and grammar just fine.
Not sure where you came up with arguing and comebacks, I'm not arguing with You lol.
That internal dialogue you keep talking about is going on when we THINK.
Consciousness is before THOUGHT. It is not the one thinking, that is your brain and internal dialogue.
Consciousness is the one that is aware before a thought ripples in the brain. It's the one that watches the thought manifest via internal dialogue and brain activity.
Separate thought and consciousness. They aren't the same thing. Your thoughts are drawn from the internal dialogue or the "voice in your head" (some people have multiple voices, that's called schizophrenia btw) .
Conciousness is the ocean of awareness, thoughts are the internal dialogue conducting brain activity .
Think of it like the while chicken and the egg thing... consciousness came before thought.
