My diet sucks. I like healthy food, but I love my carbs too. I remember many years ago when my Father was put on a strict diet for his heart, he said, "If I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go happy," meaning of course he would still eat what he wanted. Luckily he didn't pass away until his late eighties.

The purpose of this thread is very simple. I lost someone who was very close to me who died from breast cancer. I have never heard how a specific diet could actually be used to treat breast cancer. The woman in the video did not have her breasts chopped off which I found astounding. The person dear to me had both breast removed. But she died anyway. Very sad.

So I just found this video interesting and amazing. I wish I knew about it 10 years ago!

I'm so very sorry that you lost someone close to you.
I only had a lumpectomy and still have my breasts. I had two kinds of breast cancer in the same breast and one was aggressive. I went through the traditional treatments of chemo and radiation and that was at least 7 years ago.
Was the cancer caught early or late? I think perhaps our genes have something to do with it. I don't know.

How was she treated, with natural products or the traditional treatments?

Late. Very sad because it should have been caught early. One year earlier they found something suspicious but my friend's doctor did not say she needed to follow up on anything. The family tried to sue but it was ambiguous.

Sorry to hear you've had this battle also. [[hug]]

Both my brothers are doctors. Both have had/have cancer. Both have watched their diets all their lives and each have taken different approaches in treating their cancer. They do support one another and share info and each are in different trials. Neither feels their approach is especially right for the other. We are just hoping for the best. Wish I felt better about the possible outcomes. They say there are no known cures.

I created the thread just for someone like you! If I had cancer, I would give up any prejudice I had with regards to acceptable science and I would try anything. In the video, they make a claim about a certain diet caused the woman's breast cancer to go completely into remission. If I had cancer, I would be on a Ketogenic diet the day I found out!

Ketogenic Diet

The same thing with diabetes. A woman in the video eventually went off any insulin injections! To me, this is amazing!

She must have been type 2 diabetic, it is very important that you do not recommend this kind of cure to type 1 as it is autoimmune disease caused by immune system attacking beta cells in pancreas.

Over the years we have read articles of parents putting their type 1 child in diets like this or some miracle beliefs which has caused their lives.

Saying diet can fix it without specifying which type .. can cause really much harm. Propably even legal issues.

Totally agree. owever, my brothers are medical professionals with access to all the medical info. I don't try to tell them anything; they know it all. However, they have told me over and over, there is no cure.

I'm sorry to hear about your Brothers Justso. I have heard of people who have lived 20, 30 years and more after having cancer. So it isn't always a death sentence. There is still hope for your Brothers. Hugs!
