Report: Domestic Terrorism Is Still a Greater Threat Than Islamic Extremism

For the past several years, reports have indicated that domestic terrorists are a far greater threat than actions perpetrated by Islamic extremists. According to the Washington Post, the trend continues: Internal FBI figures reviewed by the paper show more domestic terror suspects were arrested in 2018 than “those allegedly inspired by international terror groups.” According to FBI data, 150 Americans were arrested for planning to engage in acts of domestic terrorism in 2017, compared to 110 international suspects; in 2018, the ratio was 120 to 100. An FBI official claims that the decrease in the arrests of potential terrorists inspired by ISIS or Al-Qaeda in 2018 can be attributed to a growing number of Americans attempting to join the Islamic State abroad.

Interesting, 2-fold. First they acknowledge theres more domestic arrests than international. But then they suggest to attribute this overage to Americans being inspired to join Islam?

Terrorism is sowing fear/violence for a political motive. So it has a pretty wide umbrella. Plenty of far left and far right groups that would fall underneath it.

Don’t have to be Muslim to be a terrorist.

More people die from poverty than any other cause. Maybe the FBI should concentrate more time on enforcing banking regulations so we don't have another 2008 crisis making money worth half as much because so much was printed!

More government propoganda using the old scare tactics,staging incidents,killing innocent people all to try and push an issue we can't take care of ourselves and the government must control all arms and everything else read between the lines

Islamic terrorism is obviously a threat.

But have you asked yourself these questions:

If guns, whether legal or otherwise, are so readily available on the US mainland, why have Islamists not shot hundreds dead in a shopping mall terror attack or something? Why have heavily armed Islamists not stormed a packed concert on the US mainland and gunned down hundreds of innocent Americans?

Why?

Remember the Bataclan massacre? 138 people died. That was in FRANCE. Guns are illegal in France FFS. So are IEDs, mind you.
