Probably on a scouting mission for crop fields so that they could leave a sign! It could be a case for Mulder and Scully!

Maybe it was a scouting mission to see if their mother ship was still there?

The UFO restaurant was demolished in 2008!

I’ve emailed a couple of local aerodromes and clubs to see if they had any events or knowledge of a
RC fireworks displays or anything flying and they’ve emailed back saying they’ve no knowledge of anything like that happening

I believe that I have solved it! I extended the line from the filming location and that building just off the A1. From that filming location a line extends right through Little Gransden airfield. Little Gransden is home to the Global Stars aerobatic team. They do pyrotechnic displays as a team and as solos. It looks like it could have been a practice display or team training? I've contacted the team and sent them a link to the footage with the details.

They fly Extra 330 aerobatic aircraft. Solo from 2016.

I e watched a few of their videos and taken a look at the channel, it’s a mixed bag really, it doesn’t look like their priority is keeping the channel clean... it looks like it’s a business, all about hits and revenue

Think that twitter account is inactive I’d love to get a response, have you tried the racecourse? There is a racecourse nearby also wonder if they knew anything about some possible hobbyists or display practices ?

I think that it is still active but I guess that they are too busy with the airshow season. Huntingdon Racecourse is off to the left of that building and is not in direct line of sight of where the lights in the sky are. I also thought a Hinchingbrooke Country Park but they don't allow pyros, stunt kites etc. Also the Country Park is not in direct line of sight and is further off to the left of the racecourse.

If the video had made it to the media you might have got a reply? The same thing happened to Aerosparx display team and they replied.

Nothing back from that guy as of yet. These pyro display teams do cause a lot of UFO flaps. Here is one from 8th September 2018.

I was fortunate to find the actual event recorded on a village webpage. It was a display at a village called Upton Scudamore which is approximately 7 miles from the filming location in the video at a company called Haven Timber.
