The information that is being relayed is basically stating that if Extraterrestrial or unknown advanced terrestrials are found to exist they too may practice or believe in religious like activities.

Well thats a rather large assumption.

Just because they can fly like us or walk on 2 legs why assume they have the "same gods"

A better way for you to grasp this is there was a time before the written language where man was living in tribes and yet didn't know of the Abrahamic or Roman gods.
