Annabelle Comes Home

Not a bad movie but not a movie you will put on your "greatest" list.

Overall it falls short on the Conjuring scale but it's still an okay movie. More of a summer fun scary movie than a terror movie but that doesn't make it a bad movie.

The actors do a good job and of course the production value is very high.

It lacks the tension the Conjuring franchise is famous for still there are some moments that scare.

Good movie.

I would pay to see.

Rate: solid C plus

Annabelle Creatuon freaked me right out in a couple places and I don't scare easy, first time I hid behind my blanket. Lol

I'm a horror film fan. While I haven't seen the film that is the topic of this thread. I can say that the last decade(or two) are disappointing.

As is common with the current crop of cinema, I'll relegate myself to the prosperous selection of the last few decades.

I liked the first one.
The second was boarder line.
I saw the trailer for this and decided I would wait till there’s a decent stream.
I wish Hollywood could come up with original ideas again. It’s almost like their scared to try something new.
I scoffed at the new child’s play.
I watched Most of the old ones
One and 2 were great for the time.
3 was okay.
Bride of chucky is where I called it quits.

OP is it just jump scares or is there some actual decent horror in the Annabelle?

Parts are creepy, some generic jump scares.

Not too bad.

It was okay.

I just didnt find any of them scary. I mean Im a horror and etc geek, but still its been a loong time since Ive seen a good real horror film. The annabell thing was hard cause the real annabell didnt look like the doll in the movie. Maybe Im just not scarable anymore... thats scary.
