It seems better than making orphans out of them, doesn't it? And sending the parent back without the kid seems to be close to turning them into orphans.

There are stupid people everywhere.
Seems stupid to me to jeopardize ones children, but hey what do I know? Mexico seems like it could be a nice place.
It wasn't that long ago that some of yous may have been trying to convince me that there was no need to worry about how all those unwanted babies, even the horribly deformed ones, would be taken care of. That women who found themselves unable to care for the children they had because of complication in there pregnancy had nothing to fear. There would be plenty of help.
Migrant caravan members reject offer to stay in Mexico
Under the "You are at home" plan, they would have received benefits if they applied for refugee status and stayed in the country's two southernmost states.
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto announced what he called the "You are at home" plan, offering shelter, medical attention, schooling and jobs to Central Americans in Chiapas and Oaxaca states if they applied, calling it a first step toward permanent refugee status.
I'd never be desperate enough to risk the lives of my children
I'm not sure why that matters much though.

So the parents do have some part in the decision making?
No one is FORCING them to seek asylum here?
An estimated 3.4 million citizens have fled Venezuela in recent years amid soaring prices, high crime and shortages of food, medicine and basic goods. Most end up in other Latin American countries. But some of those who can afford the trip fly to Europe, primarily resettling in Spain.
The political turmoil they left behind, meanwhile, is deepening. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro faces a strong leadership challenge from the head of the National Assembly, Juan Guaidó. The congressional leader has won support from more than 50 countries, including Spain and the United States, that now consider him to be Venezuela's interim president.

So foreigners can dump their children on the usa's doorstep at will for us to take care of?
That is what you are advocating?
That sounds reasonable........
Hey big government is always the answer right?

Toothpaste +toothbrush is about 5 cents per day per child.
Now multiply that by about 25,000-30,000 and tell me how cheap it is again?
