yeah I just edited the post (deleted) because I saw that.

I think what the 405k year and it's relation to Venus and Jupiter is in relation is finding the actual reason behind the Milankovitch cycle occurring. Furthermore I doubt they want to cite something from the 1920s in a modern paper, as that would make people question it more deeply.

BTW, the Milankovitch cycles refers to the collective effects of all natural factors, not just Jupiter and Venus' orbits, that causes Earth's movements and affects it's climate.

This study is a more indepth look at how the particular orbits of Venus and Jupiter affects the Earth and in turn also affects it's climate in the 405kyear cycle.
