They both suffer from the delusion that you have to crack America in order to be successful or relevant. Why can't you just be a good English comic
and let it go at that? There's enough money and fame over here, why must they go global?

Me too. I find him honest and like that he is trying to change himself and admits his flaws. I like what he says about society benefiting from a more
spiritual outlook because I think he's right and he's willing to explore ideas which in our modern society aren't seen as cool.
Ricky Gervais, I'll stick my neck out and say, he seems to be quite happy with who he is.
