A country that can't build a UAV without relying on foreign components.

Well, in that case, every country has a problem these days. Even the F-35 has been using components from China. The UAVs in Russia have been using American, Chinese, Japanese, and European components. Likewise, the same is true of the Iranian muntions.

No one makes all their stuff anymore. Welcome to the global economy and supply chain.

The difference is that the United States, Germany, France, etc, aren't parroting the "indigenous" nonsense. The Turkish administration, and it's online troll army do.
It's also why Turkey will suffer, because it's on the sanctions list.
Not even those rumoured Eurofighters are likely to find their way to Turkey.

It's amazing, a country who we're told by the hundreds of trolls paid by Erdogan and his cronnies, is going to fly it's own fifth gen stealth fighter in record time no less, is desperate to buy new F16's and upgrade kits for its existing F16 fleet, and now Eurofighters. On top of the rumoured purchase of Russian Sukhois. What a bizzaro world it must be in Turkey.

Oh well, maybe the Chinese can supply Turkey some more after the missiles it's given them, or Russia.

You have a lot of prejudice and wrong information. Yes, Erdogan has a troll army, but not the whole country. We never had any intention of buying a Russian aircraft. Not even an official offer was made for the Eurufighter. It's just on the table as an idea and intention.

Turkey's defense industry has reached a level that can compete with South Korea in terms of capacity and they are making the KFX-21 just like us.

Yes, we are under the embargo of our allies. They do not give some technology, equipment and components. It's not the last point for us that they don't. We have the infrastructure and engineering of scientists and academy to develop technologies that are not given, such as single crystal metallurgy, from scratch. Many issues are just a matter of time for us.

TF-X (MMU) is not an ordinary technology development project for the Turkish people. Thanks to our allies, this project is now a matter of life and death for us. We are trying to put everything in order so that India does not become like the Tejas project.

We will succeed.
