www.foxnews.com...

A chilling confession from a captured ISIS fighter has shed light on how the terrorist group intended to exploit the vulnerabilities of the U.S. border with Mexico, using English speakers and westerners to take advantage of smuggling routes and target financial institutions.

So it now appears there is no doubt the us/mexico border is a national security issue.
Who is in charge of that again?

Seized ISIS fighter Abu Henricki, a Canadian citizen with dual citizenship with Trinidad, last month said that he was sought out by the violent insurgency’s leadership to attack the U.S from a route starting in Central America, according to a study by the International Center for the Study of Violent Extremism (ICSVE) and published in Homeland Security Today.

And this is why we can't have nice stuff CANADA!
Keep your problems to yourself thank you; first your garbage now your homegrown terrorists.

“The plan came from someone from the New Jersey state of America. I was going to take the boat from Puerto Rico into Mexico. He was going to smuggle me in,” the ISIS cadre continued.

Anyone seen augustus?????

All those military aged males we saw in those videos two years ago could have been ISIS solders entering the country. And now they are just waiting around for their guns.

Henricki allegedly traveled to Syria with the intention of serving as an ISIS fighter, but was later told he could not take on soldier duties due to a chronic illness. At the end of 2016, he claimed to have been “invited” by the ISIS intelligence wing – known as the emni – to join other Trinidadians and launch financial attacks on the U.S.

Can't be fake news , its on Fox.

I would take the word of a captured Daesh fighter with a pinch of self serving skin saving salt.

Either way you can't trust those shifty poutine eaters.

Still doesn't change the fact that our southern border is a national security issue and the securing of such will be at the discretion of the judgement of the cic.

I'd be surprised if at least a few of those scum didn't sneak in. I know I've read news reports over the last year or two where at least a few were caught by the Border Patrol. Hang them all.

I'd be taking it with a bit of salt, as well.

That being said, people have been pointing out the dangers of just such a thing for decades now...it is a security risk that needn't be there.

Its not exactly rocket science... Of course they are going to take advantage their enemy's weak border protection. It's PAINFUL to me how obvious this is. And people on the left still don't get it. They wanna welcome Everyone without exception with open arms and they think that will make them stop hating us.

And of course we Also need to give the Bush family and Obama a Big Thank You for creating all these terrorists by bombing the # out of random people with reckless impunity. How the hell do you accidentally kill over 1 million civilians within like 5 years? At that point, is it worth continuing the conflict? When they got to 100k youd think they would say "maybe we should modify our approach".

However, that does nothing to change our current situation. Which is, there are a bunch of people who hate us, and our back door is not only unlocked its been ripped off the hinges and the opening has been expanded to the size of a garage door.

Well they can "fast and furiously" ring up Holder and Obama.

They sent a whole bunch of guns down there for various terrorist activities.

Theyre in luck!

So for over 10 years they have been waiting to attack, when do you think they will come out of hiding and attack

Some other country actually arrested many ISIS people who were going to join in with the caravan. They stated they did not think they had gotten everyone, but did get the majority, majority means one more than half in my book.

Terrorists would use any means to come into this country to do terrorism, if they can get through with supplies, it would be nice, but they could actually have supplies shipped in to somewhere when they get here.

The open border to Mexico is actually a definite threat to the USA, they cannot afford to patrol their borders and the seas to control terrorists that have no intent on hurting their own people.

Clearly you need to study the tactics of the enemy that is ISIS. They are patient in the terrorist organizations because we have idiot politicians who facilitate their success with policy that appears Treasonous.

There have been a number of attacks over the last few years. Mostly trucks driving into crowds, but they are happening.

You don't think if ISIS was to use the border they would use the legitimate border entry points to avoid risk of capture? The majority of drugs pass to/from Mexico and the US through the legal entry/exit points, so why wouldn't it make sense for potential terrorists of any ideology do the same? If they are not known to the authorities and have what looks like legitimate documentation why wouldn't they?

Should Russia China and Iran invite themselves to the U.S to fight terrorism? Just like America likes to do to other countries.
