It's been about a year and a half since Prince William went on his rant about overpopulation, being very specific about Africa. What's been happening in Africa lately? Well, here are some examples of many:

1. Although ISIS has been "defeated" in most of Syria/Iraq, ISIS-affiliated groups are thriving and expanding in Africa. Entire villages are being attacked and burned down on a regular basis. Mali, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Chad, etc etc ....... are all dealing with the mass slaughtering of civilians. Don't forget Al Shabaab in Somalia, and other terrorist organizations scattered all over Central Africa. Who funds them all? Probably the wealthy Gulf States, who are wealthy because they are paid by places like America and ... Britain.

2. Because of some of these terrorist groups, along with local distrust of vaccines and the western medical industry (Who is secretly fueling the anti-vaxx conspiracies?) EBOLA has been making a comeback, and it's pretty much guaranteed to be the biggest outbreak EVER some time this year. At the same time, other diseases like Cholera are spreading like wildfire. AIDS is still a problem, and all the money that has been spent on keeping HIV patients alive there cold have easily supplied clean drinking water to the entire continent.

3. Cobalt, Tantalum, etc etc ....... and the "trade war" with China. China and other nations are ravaging Africa for its resources, mainly to supply material for electronics. Child labor and slave labor is rampant. Living conditions bring down life expectancy for anyone having anything to do with the industry in Africa, because if they're not malnourished and poisoned by the working conditions, local wars are fought between rival factions to control the mining areas. With a "trade war" going on, there will be even less motivation to improve Africa's living conditions.

4. Renewables and sustainables ...... The "Green" movement wants to make sure that Africa stays primitive and tribal. Development in Africa will never happen because solar cells and windmills won't be able to supply most people's needs, unless they're of the middle or upper classes. Besides, solar cells also need raw materials, which destroys the environment, and windmills destroy up to 75% of flying fauna, so there really is no "green" energy source, except maybe nuclear but that's "too dangerous" for the Africans to be responsible of. No, let them continue cooking with charcoal so it gives them lung cancer, another main cause of death ... not from smoking cigarettes, from cooking.

Also, brain drain out of Africa, slavery in the Sahara, and Southern Africa's "white flight" ......

I'm sure there are plenty of other examples. Feel free to add your own.

I can't say I disagree with what you wrote.. Fresh drinking water has always been a super serious problem when it comes to health.

If you look at the number of people who do not trust big Farma or the shot routines forced upon people at birth it just ain't Africa that is walking away, right or wrong..

BS.

The overpopulation of Africa is a real thing. The only people who can do something about it ... are those people living on the Continent.

It is not up to the rest of the world to fix up other people's screw ups.

You cannot help those who refuse to help themselves.

Why not cast your eyes to India. Over population with a vengeance ... and the population figures provided by the government are nuts.

I say their problems are not ours, and I bet they would love it if we obliged. However, understanding that other foreign powers will simply spread their hegemony there as a threat to our own, I recognize the need for our defense apparatus to work in tandem with some of that continent's military forces by forging relationships that seek the mutual blossoming of our national security interests.

I still think some of that ebola is eventually going to mutate into the zombie virus .

India is much more overpopulated than Africa. That's like apples & oranges. Africa can feed billions of people just by farming all of the abandoned farmland from perpetual war. India can probably feed 1.5 billion if it's lucky, and I think it's getting close.

Africa: 1.2 Billion
India: 1.3 Billion

Why should anyone trust an industry with such a piss poor record as Big Pharma. Until there is transparency in the industry you will have people calling BS. Why do they need secret vaccine courts? Why won’t they subject themselves to third party clinical trials? Why are all of their ex-executives allowed to proliferate through the FDA?

Its been over a year since he made that remark and I notice he has not provided any leadership on the matter by getting rid of himself, some leadership.

You are right!

I used to help with donations but one document opened my eyes how useless it is to give money to aid organizations as so little actually is used to actual purpose. These oraganizations are a heavy machinery which take huge part of the money to themselves to keep machinery working, salaries etc. It is the worse pyramid scam you ever seen. That with huge corruption there things never change.

India and its overpopulation, India is building 111 million latrines within 5 years to somehow meet some hygiene standards in the country. 111 flushable latrines... take huge amount of water ( water which is already somewhat luxury in that country). We´ll see in future what this massive operation brings with it , good or bad, and will there be another population increase cause of that.

Africa on the whole is far to diversified to lump into one big pot.

The issues that come from many of your statements are correct but then a lot of the social cultural issue could have and should have been solved decades ago but they are still as rampant now as they where then.

Africa as a continent is broken, there is far to much corruption and a mindset to tread on anyone to further one's gain and status. There is also a tendency to almost sabatage whole industries with government legislation if it means they will win votes such as using a race war to fuel violence against white farmers that intern see's massive food shortages as there is no one to pick up the slack. That just means more hungry Africans..

When you look at the resources that Africa has it is mind blowing how it is so far behind compared to the so called developed world. Imagine if Asia for example had their resources they would be light years ahead yet they are stuck in the stone age in many regions.

Sadly as stated above the only people that can change the situation are the people there and whilst they are fighting and arguing about age old division in what many regions is a lawless society how will it ever change?.

Basic things like clean water along with medical care and a social system that looks after someone that paid into it can solve many issues, however with the current mindset and culture that exist that is something of a pipe dream..

Except they do not farm the abandoned land. They scrap the farm equipment for $$ and once their drunken party is over 1 week later, they wonder what happened.

The problem with Africa is Africa .

Why do they steal medicine to sell on the black market ?

Why in many parts of Africa is it a rape culture ?

Why do radicals and violence flourish ?

Because they been at war since God knows when .

Which leads to a very different outlook on human life than most of the rest of the world .

If I had to use one word .

Desensitized .

I just answered in another thread. What the world MUST realise is Africa (all Africa) is still in the tribal system. Family first, tribe second and f### the rest. They only claim nationality when they want aid. When that aid gets to the country whichever tribe is in charge gets the lions share if not all the aid.

It's the start of a good conspiracy, but... Africa has ALWAYS had these same problems for all of history. At some point you just have to see what's consistent and that is the people living there.

Yeah, no Africa has not always had these problems, and not all of Africa experiences these issues equally. For instance, the continent is made up of 60+ mostly independent nation/states.

That would be like judging an entire us state by the problems of a handful of counties. The Sahara region has it's own issues, the south And eaSt have their own, the west coast is actually doing pretty well right around that bend where it narrows from the buldge. My cousins, who moved to Spain from Colombia, now have thriving businesses in the ivory coast. My cousins specifically, is married to a Tunisian man, and they travel the world And Vis t us here in the states ever year with the successes they have had

I feel that people should stop saying 'Africa's' problem s as if the entire thing is one singular unit with a common culture that hS the same problems. When one actually bothers to read, inquire, and speak to people from these countries, one would realize many countries in Africa are doing quite well as developing nation's, even in some cases better than a handful of Eastern Europe, Mediterranean states, or even US states!

So let's start discussing specific nation's in Africa by name, and not generalize the entire continent.

Taking out Muammar Gaddafi in Libya was a mistake. He had good US ties and already earned his reputation their, security was good. Was helping to get Africa out of the stone age.

Next best bet is Robert Mugabe, yeah bad reputation, but has the respect their. Unfortunate to hear he is ill in Singapore at the moment. Get well soon.

If not him then the next few who are in line to have the eldership recognized nationally. With their support, build a road from north to south and secure it. Sending in a tank is a dangerous proposition, sending in basic infrastructure of economic growth and supporting the locals to secure it all adds to global GDP and that is a better way.

The culture that is developing in Africa is having a lot of connections to other nations, like the rest of the world with global trade the way it is. They play hard their, anyone you sent in needs to be tough. They will also set a good example while their so they need to be fair as well.

Sub-Saharan African isn't "overpopulated". The region is largely empty, bar hundreds of millions huddling up in main regions etc.

When people jabber on about "overpopulation", they have misunderstood the real and actual issues.

The problems with the human race and Earth is not "overpopulation" as such but rather poor distribution of wealth and resources and sustainability. Planet Earth could actual support tens of billions of MORE humans if the ENTIRE planet and all nations suddenly jumped onto a path of universal sustainability, drastically lowered pollution (through use of alternative technologies etc) and sustainable and proper distribution and use of wealth and resources.

Went to India a while back. Interesting experience having a cup of water to wipe your bum with a pig at the end of the ramp to eat it up. Seen one of the happiest pigs ever just floating in an open public sewer at one place.

Yeah, lots of people every where, all through the country side. Not like we have the machines here in Australia. Poverty is bad, its sad stepping over an old lady just lying on the ground at the train station, all curled up. Lots of people just sleep on the street at some places. Have a cart with the clean up crew in the morning taking away the dead.

It is not all like that. While the people do not have much, they do seam to work together well and at least get feed. Some of it is well industrialized and modernizing. Being a tourist you usually get charged tourist prices. I did find the Hinduism culture as very respectful and peaceful overall, but will fight back if pushed. Have had their issues with Muslims for thousands of years as well.
