UKIP collapsing. Tories collapsing. Labour are having a nightmare, vote down all over the place. Brexit party surging, but then so are the Lib Dems, who are up all over the place - and who have won in Corbyn's own seat.
Landlord, two pints please!

What does this mean for the UK leaving the EU? Will these MEPs have any real power to do anything?

It is my view that the Lib/Dems are hoovering up the Labour/Remain votes?

Nope, no power at all. The European Parliament doesn't work that way.

Polls are all closed. Election results are beginning to come in fast.
The overall result in the European (EU) Parliamentary Election reflects massive gains for conservative nationalists in Italy, Greece, France, Poland, Hungary, Austria, U.K. and others…
Is this a REJECTION of Socialism across Europe?

Highly entertaining watching the results come in last night and equally watching all the commentators spinning it so remain won by a large margin....so much spin that I’m feeling quite dizzy!
People asking what we expect the brexit party to do in Europe are missing the point. We don’t really expect them to do much (although I can’t wait to see how they cope with widders!). The big difference now will be seeing how the big parties regroup and come out fighting. The whole point was to shake up domestic politics and to get our elected politicians to start doing their job and working for the people who put them there. Hopefully we will actually see some proper movement on brexit now. Of course our politicians may well screw it up further but they’ve definitely had a damn good kick up their backsides which should be a massive wake up call. No more sitting on fences, parties must now chose sides and get off their fences. It’s time for real action

No, it's considerably more complicated than that. The UK result seems to be more a case of Remain voters fleeing the two main parties for the Liberal Democrats and the Greens, whilst Leave voters dump the Tories, who had a nightmare of a night.
In other news 'Tommy Robinson' was left humiliated with just 2.2% of the vote in his region. Excellent news!
