Assetto Corsa Competizione is the latest racing sim from Italian developer Kunos Simulazioni a team with a passion for and history of making authentic racing simulation games , ACC concentrates on the Blancpain GT3 racing series with the cars , teams and tracks of the 2019 season , if you're a sim racer you will probably already know this which is the purpose of this thread , with 10 days until the full release version of the game are there any racers here ?

REALISTIC SIMULATION
Assetto Corsa Competizione is designed to faithfully recreate the performance and the driving experience of real Blancpain GT Series cars through a sophisticated mathematical model that accurately replicates tyre grip, aerodynamic impact, engine parameters, suspensions and electronics systems that determine vehicle balance, as well as the influence of mechanical damage on the car's drivability.

It's been a long 8 month wait for Kunos to get to this point and I'm hoping the release version addresses the problems that have dogged the game in early access most notably for me the bland feeling force feedback... fingers crossed.

Anyone else playing , played ?

Just had a look this is for PC. So its a no for me.

I have Assetto Corsa on PS4 from a few years ago, not a bad racing game.

Force feedback?

You use a steering wheel and foot peddle set up?

I do on my PS4, awesome fun especially using a VR headset for the game Gran Turismo Sport, that is some next level sh!t, absolutely mind-blowing and actually nauseating at times because of how the VR tricks your mind to actually feel G forces when going around turns, Its only when you brake hard that you expect to feel the reverse G and you don't that makes you realize its just VR, every other aspect, acceleration, turns and drifts makes your stomach turn.

The driving sims are really getting good these days compared to a few years/ a decade ago.

cant wait for the next few years as driving sims along with VR should get even more realistic.

Yes mate , got a Logitech G29 wheel , it's not top tech but it does well enough to give a good experience , VR and racing games are made for each other which is why a VR headset is my next gift to me , if I'm good I've promised me one for my Birthday , if I'm bad I'll get it Christmas.

Yep got it had since the first day. I like it feels better than AC not moddable though but certainly worth having.
I race RF2 every week so that is my main sim. Have fair few sims most of them now I think.
Buying kit gets addictive too.
Started on Xbox controller on my Old i5 PC 10yrs ago and now I have Simucube based OSW Wheel kit, a wheel with 10 buttons and 2 rotaries and magnetic gear paddles. HE Pedals, HE Handbrake, Tripple Monitor setup i7 8700K with 2080Ti.I still need a rig to replace my desk and 3 new 2k 144hz monitors.
But is loads of fun I run a league with few guys and we race every week

Project Cars 2 is a great all rounder where ACC specialises in just one series so they are very different games , at this stage I do prefer Project Cars 2 for the freedom it offers and its much better force feedback , just checked steam and I've got 180 hours on PC2.

I have similar hours in P Cars 2 212hrs play it for fun with mates on Fridays. Then D Rally 2 arrived we have fun on that now.
But in rFactor 2 I have 2289 hrs. Force feedback in rF2 is very good the GT3, Endurance and Challengers packs are great.
P Cars 2 feels better than AC to me FFB wise had loads of fun with it LMP900 and Bannochbrae road circuit is fun.
Looking forward to trying Spa in ACC.
Sims are evolving nicely 2018 Laser scanned version of the ring coming to rF2 soon too can't wait
