It may be because I spend far too much time browsing the rant form but it also has to do with everyone drifting apart no matter how close you are, even families drift apart as you get caught up in the daily grind. Cant even find one after noon to act like we did when we were stupid little kids. Think the homesteader life is perfect for me. As soon as I can afford it Im going off the grid.
No tailgaters. No traffic. And best of all, no people.

Eh, life is short. No one is obligated to justify another's existence. You wanna go that way? Your choice. Only you know what makes you happy, so ...

Sounds like you are ignoring a part of yourself and recognising it in others

The Story of the Two Wolves - Original (not the bastardised internet version)

"An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”

He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “If you feed them right they both win”
- bastardised version ends here only with the words "Whichever one you feed"

"You see if I only feed the white wolf, the black one will be hiding around every corner waiting for me to become distracted or weak and jump to get the attention he craves. He will always be angry and always fighting the white wolf. But if I acknowledge him he is happy and the white wolf is happy and we all win.

"For the black wolf has many qualities: tenacity, courage, fearlessness, strong will and great strategic thinking that I have need of at times and that the white wolf lacks."

"But the white wolf has compassion, caring, strength and the ability to recognize what is in the best interests of all."

"You see son, the white wolf needs the black wolf at his side. To feed only one would starve the other and they will soon become uncontrollable. To feed and care for both means they will servce you well and do nothing that is not a part of something greater, something good, something of life."

"Feed them both and there will be no more internal struggle for your attention, and when there is no battle inside you can listen to the voices of deeper knowing that will guide you in choosing what is right in every circumstance."

"Peace, my son, is the Cherokee mission in life. A man or woman who has peace inside has everything. A man or woman who is pulled apart by the war inside him or her has nothing. How you choose to interact with the opposing forces within you will determine your life.
Starve one or the other or guide them both."

I don’t need people, but they can be nice to have around sometimes. I definitely feel your desire to go off grid and be away from the world, however, I think one of the main reasons we are here is to learn about ourselves and that requires interaction with others.

Fishing is basically doing nothing for hours waiting for something good to happen.

Your story is the probably the best thing that has ever come out of the Cherokee nation.

Here's a nice video on the mythology of the hero's adventure:

If you want meaning in your life find some dragon to fight.

I've leaned a hard lesson in life.

Sometimes you don't need people, but they need you. That is just as important.

Where is off the grid?
Can you get there from here?
Can it only be found by those who already know where it is?

Jordan Maxwell says if you dont pay your taxes the Gov will find you even in the most remote jungle on the planet.

I dont mind most people so much its the daily grind thats wearing me down. Life is passing by and there so much world to see with no money and time to see it.

Why come here and write to people if you despise human contact?

Yes you can run away from people but you can't run away from yourself. When you realise that you, as much as anybody else in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. Then you can invite others to join into that love as well.

So don't drown yourself in human flaws, desires and weaknesses, That is only part of the parcel of human nature. Look at our more positive attributes (generosity, loving-kindness and wisdom) and recognise them for what they are.

When we learn to love ourselves, we can then invite others to join that love as well.

Love you.
