The Executive Branch lacks the consitutional authority to postpone presidential elections. IE Trump cant do anything about 2020.

Congress has the authority to postpone House and Senate Elections based on Article I §4 of the US Constitution.
There is a case to be made that Congress does have similar authority regarding the US Presidential Elections based on Article II § 1, but this is uncertain and any such attempt would end up on the Supreme Court.
Or not, Congress can only change the elections procress by issuing new laws, thus the democrat hold House would also be involved anyway.

LOL learn your history America had some divisive as hell Presidents, and we have likely had less qualified too on both sides. Just didnt happen in a hypersensitive hyper aware America we now live in. An America where everything is a crisis and everybody gets spoon fed politic bullet points and swallows them hook line and sinker. National politics is no where near the importance most people are giving it, we have lost perspective.
