A white whale with a harness marked "St. Petersburg" has been interacting with Norwegian fishermen this week. The whale would rub its sides against the boats in an attempt to free itself - or perhaps even in a call for help from the fishermen. After several attempts, the whale was finally freed to the enjoyment of all the fishermen there.
What on earth could the Russians be using these whales for? Surveillance?

What on earth could the Russians be using these whales for? Surveillance? Funny that, I read a few months ago it was the US that was training whales and dolphins to locate Russian submarines. Is this mischief making at it best or should have I said 'at its worst?.
