I'm not sure I see the upside to it. They need more border patrol agents, not citizens groups.

I don't personally care as long as they act inside the law, but when I see them talking about making citizens arrests, I have to question the motive. Reads like lynch mob to me.

What's the point? They have no place to contain more of them even if they are made aware of them. Far better the CBP handle it without interference IMO. I have no doubt the CBP is more aware of all the places they enter than the citizens groups are. They would just be telling them things they already know and getting in the way.

That's the biggest threat, getting shot. Mind you not by the illegal crossers(most of them are woman/children that have been repeated sexual assaulted, or men that have been threatened with violence against them or their family). The cartel(and their military buyouts) operate on both sides. Running in to them is the biggest safety issue.

Wasn't there just a blurb the other day about mexican military detaining us troops on OUR SOIL. Sure, they sorted that out, military to military. But a bunch of armed citizens might not fair as well with a corrupted mexican soldier.

I look forward to on the ground updates though about how he's doing and hoping they all stay safe.

To be completely honest though, i think the OP is misrepresenting his intentions.

I see through this ruse.

They are just looking for a way to get cheap authentic mexican food. They are going to bring down all the supplies, set up a camp and then "capture" border crossers with the "intent" of rendering aid.

Then while they are in their camps, they will have them make authentic knock out mexican cuisine while they sit around watching 80's action movies and drink tequila.

It's actually brilliant.
