Lorraine Warren, along with her husband, Edward, were two famed American paranormal investigators and authors. Edward was a self-professed
demonologist, while Lorraine was noted for her ability as a clairvoyant and medium. In 1952, they founded the New England Society for Psychic
Research. Their exploits inspired the production of the Hollywood movies, "The Amityville Horror," "The Conjuring," and the "Annabelle."
Last Thursday, Lorraine died in her sleep at the age of 92. One of her great quotes:
"The fairy tale is true. The devil exists. God exists and for us, as people, our very destiny hinges upon which one we elect to follow."
2013 Interview Featuring Lorraine Warren And James Wan, Discussing The Conjuring Movie:
Edward and Lorraine Warren:
Lorraine Warren attending the premiere of "The Conjuring 2," on June 7, 2016:
I had no idea she was that age. I don’t know if she was the real deal or a scam artist but she helped add a little magic into world, and for that, I
thank her.
They inspired several great ghost films. The most recent was “The Nun.”
Being from New England, Lorraine and Ed were quite popular around here. I'm glad that she got to live such a long life and helped so many people along
the way. Rest in peace Lorraine Warren.
This makes me sad. I loved watching stories/documentaries about her. I've done several threads that involved her work (not only on ATS). She was a
fascinating character.
