The Saint Sulpice church in Paris was deliberately set on fire earlier this year, although media reports downplayed the story

They can be but I'm not so sure that would be a good idea for the US. Has an eerie feel after 9/11, Bush redirected all the intel agencies to Islam extremism local and abroad and alot of other important stuff here in the homeland suffered. Not to mention war on the cartels back in the 80's; which didn't go so well. Plus just this past week Pompeo went on a South America tour after a previous middle east tour which included Israel.

Well, they had decades to study the dope cartel scene so hope under Trump administration they do the right thing and have the necessary resources planned and in place to avoid another perpetual 20 yr war. These type of operations tend to take a life of their own after awhile especially when the cash floodgates spill over.
