noun. The definition of an eidolic is something or someone who is ideal and perfect, or something that doesn't exist. An example of an eidolic is a single person's ideal mate; an eidolic mate.

A minor shock in the first words to focus the reader, the sense that the person was capable for the battle ahead, the rush of adrenaline at the end....

While never describing the antagonist at all, but leaving it to the reader's imagination.
