I feel Christ is the name of each person's higher self that resides within us, JC is an analogy and never existed as a human, is my thinking just now, if I'm wrong I'm sure he will forgive me.

I look at Jesus the same way I do Castaneda or Buddha ! The Bible is a mess , but the gnosis of god is becoming equal with God
