Drowning in adds help

Help every ten seconds a pop up add kicks me out

It’s a Verizon add.

I cleaned my history but add still pops up.

Sorry, But I can't tell if this is happening on your pc or iphone?

If it's on your phone. Try closing all tabs and then reboot your phone.

The problem seems to be common for mobile users. I have no idea how to help, I only use a PC. I hope another member can chime in. Don't leave!

I clicked your advert. It eventually leads to a blank page. I'm guessing that some ads are from ATS (I see ads, but not like this) and some ads are from the mobile itself. There have been plenty of threads with the same problem. I never use a mobile to internet because I can't read the screen (bad eyes). Clearing history won't help. I'm hoping someone else has a solution for you. There are ad-blockers out there but I think they are less effective due to mobiles being more intrusive. It seems to affect Android and iOS users alike.

On PC, ads are not intrusive, I see them mostly at the bottom of the screen but each has a close button. I use an ad-blocker on all sites except ATS.

Between this and a persistent call every day from another credit card company asking kids for my Social . Im getting worried my activity on ATS is the cause of this assault. I’m going to tak a little break to see if it subsides.

It feels like Im bing tracked.

As we speed I haven’t seen the add pop up. So who knows. It’s creeping me out.

I guess l can try again but I will be taking a break for sure.

You have to do what you have to do but I really am beginning to think it is the mobile itself (extra income for apple et al maybe?) that really is the problem. I may be wrong.

Use Brave Browser.

Download and use the duckduckgo app. I get no pop ups.

On my phone I find it near impossible to do anything on the internet at times with the adds. Go to your internet setting and turn off java script. Things will start to work a lot better. There maybe some websites that you will need to turn java script back on for them to work, but for the most part it is a more user friendly experience.

Java script is client code that runs on your device, lots of add networks use it to track you better.

I’m back and the have been testing the Brave Browser and so far so good. No adds whatsoever. I was just lurking the las few days. First time login, I’m gonna try it out see how it goes.

Thank you all for your help. I’m glad I can get back in. I had been working on some fun posts. So I have a litter more motivation to come back this time.
