Ask the business owners near and around Kennedy Airport... especially the freight handlers.
These were the guys at my fathers table on Sundays when I was a kid.
My first big job was a union position in a freight forwarder in Kennedy. At 22 I was making more than twice what all my friends were earning in 79. Over !0.00 an hour when minimum wage was less than $3.00.
