I'm sorry you perceive it that way, but personally I think arrogance is buying into American exeptionalism, something I try very hard not to do.

Sometimes being patriotic means admitting where your (in this situation my country) is wrong, and wanting to improve it.

As it stands our foreign policy is to dictate what is going to happen.... Which is the anti thesis of our "official" platform of spreading freedom.

I'm not saying we're untouchable, merely our list of "threats" is too long, and we're overstretched if someone actually did attack us.

Many of the countries we start hearing drums beat over aren't as big of a threat as we're sold, case in point Iraq, Syria, Libya, and so on.
