britain was pretty safe, we'd won the air battle, invasion of our island was unlikely, america made the difference in stopping the war on continental europe, it is them more than us who should be grateful, oh and gee thanks for the interest free loan, still wasn't charity, you didn't help us from the goodness of your hearts. Ignored us for the first few years of ww2, and traded with all sides, there is blood on american hands for that.
