Hey all,

Having a scorcher of a summer here in New Zealand. We're in our fourth week of hot weather and today it was 29 degrees Celsius here in Auckland and Ian,Angelo,Kingston and I were out in the sun and the heat weed eating and mowing around Northcote and out at Riverhead.

It's even worse down south with a bush fire still burning near Wakefield 25 kilometers from Nelson during the worst part of the fire there were five helicopters and firefighters from around the South Island plus NZ Defence Force personnel.

29 degrees Celsius is considered a "scorcher?" Unless I added incorrectly, that's only 84 degrees Farenheit. That's hot, but not extreme; I'm not sure I would even refer to that as "scorching."

Funny if you're right because I live in Phoenix and 110 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer is no big deal.

It would be very smart for you to move to NZ, but last time I checked, you had to have a net worth of $1 Million to go there and if you are white, they may not take you cause you arent diverse.

Might want to go to Canada first to establish street cred as a Commonwealth citizen,, assuming you can get citizenship in Canada that is, and then go on to NZ or Australia.

We in the north are going through the opposite. Minus 25 to minus 40 Celsius for the last month.....damned doors keep freezing closed. Two snow/cold loving big dogs want out and in and out and in......and out and in.....

Yes , and I’m loving the heat. This would probably not be the case if I were doing a job that like a builder. 31 degrees and my place about 40mins away from you. I wish it would rain for my pumpkin and choko plants. Happy summer days

Pity. Thought we could send you some of our current 0 degree F. From the north central USA.Though I have heard those Cook straights do get nasty storms in May though.

Thought this might have come from there but the date is wrong on the bell.

Yeah, here in Aus, we had some scorchers in the last few weeks.

In Adelaide they had the hottest on record just a few weeks back, 46. something Celsius,

In Melbourne where I'm at we had a few days of 45 and then a massive drop the next day,

one day when it reached over 40 this summer it dropped more than 20 degrees in under an hour.

The extreme change was insane, I went outside and could feel the breeze getting cooler by the minute.

Up north in QLD where they have droughts for years just got floods, cant say exactly how much but the amount of rain received was biblical so to speak, many farmers really struggling.

Live stock that survived (many drowned) now dying because of inaccessibility to get hay to feed the livestock.

Crazy weather with heat here in Aus. Floods up north in QLD while up in the Northern Hemisphere the US getting record breaking cold.
