A snowstorm in Denmark prevented a muslim to come to his work in a chicken-factory. All the other workers in this factory made it to work, but they couldn´t start up the production without him. This muslim´s work was to bless the chickens in Allah´s name to make "Halal-chickens". This is outrageous. Most people in Denmark don´t want to eat "Halal-chickens", but they are forced to. And now the production in this factory went to a full-stop because of this BS.

I don´t want to force muslims to eat non-blessed food (if that´s what they want), but why can´t the non-muslim people eat their chicken non-blessed? Why does the whole society have to adjust and change to suit all muslim needs and demands? I´m not a muslim and I live in a (previously) non-muslim country. I wouldn´t mind as long as they didn´t bother me, but they do. What´s next on their agenda, Sharia-laws? Why do we have to adjust our ways to suit them? After all they chose to come to this country, didn´t they? Íf I lived in a muslim country and tried anything similar there, they would probably chop my head off...

How do you know most don't want to? How do you know if they even care. A chicken is a chicken, blessed or not. Unless your religious requirements are otherwise, what difference does it make if it's blessed by Allah or not? Still tastes the same to me!

Out of sight, out of mind, huh? That's not the way to deal with xenophobia.
Really... what is the problem here? How have your ways really been adjusted? OH MY GOD!! You have to eat halal chicken!
Dude, your needs are still being met!

Would you rather live in a homogenous society where everyone is like you?

No, I don´t. That´s not my goal at all. I don´t want to live in a homogenous society where everyone looks like this.

Another example. Last friday Imam Raed Hleihel held a firespeech in Denmark. He demanded all muslim women in Denmark to be totally covered, even their feet. He said that women is the tool of Satan and needs to be covered. He also said that men is so ugly they don´t need to be covered. Those men who don´t make sure their women are covered will go to Hell. The speech was taped and sent out to muslim societies all over Denmark. This is not about rascism...

How can I eat chicken, blessed or not, when the factory is closed because the chickens have not been blessed?

Hellmutt,
you have every right to ask those questions, and doing so does NOT make you a bigot or intolorant.....you have every right to want to be part of a culture that expouses values you'd like to have. You have every right to defend and try to maintain your cultural values as they are and dont let others bully you into selling out your beliefs in a politically correct manner that presumes other peoples rights superceed yours.
