What do I think deeply about? What we are going to have to eat, including cooking the food. It is relaxing cooking sometimes, except when the wife gives you a complicated recipe off Pintrest and you know you are probably going to hate the highly processed and difficultly produced food. Just because it takes so long to make something does not mean it is goint to taste better, but if you put all that time into preparing it, you will try to justify the time and expense and it will cause you to believe it is great.

20 years ago, we warned our kids not to meet people from the internet and never get into a car with a stranger.

Now, if they need a ride, they use the internet to summon a stranger so they can get in their car.

I think about my relationship with God and how I can improve myself.

If I have a project or a build with something I'm not familiar with (whether it's using unfamiliar materials/tools/build techniques, etc) I'll go through the whole build process in my mind from start to finish, I'll often do this many times over spending hours thinking of potential issues or stumbling blocks.

The idea is to foresee problems before they arise, and to find appropriate solutions.

Because of this, it can take me a while to pick up tools, but when I do, I tend to know exactly what I'm doing and how, and nasty project-altering problems are a rarity. By going over the build in my head from start to finish, not only can I spot problems before they become problems, I can refine and improve the design of whatever it is that I'm up to.

Another advantage is that when I do build things, they tend to get put together pretty quickly as I've already built it in my mind several if not many times over.

Two things.

I daily, and sometimes more than once meditate and pray to God.

At other times, I meditate in the sense of cogitation, on present day mechanisms at work to subtly influence the sub-conscious minds of individuals to sway their conscious cognitive processes which in turn influence people's perceptions of reality.
Sadly............I'm not quite understanding all that.

Dang! I do precisely the same thing! It drives my wife nuts because if we have a "build" project, I won't start it until I've done what I call "Modeling" the finished product in my mind. She'll say, "lets get going on this" and I usually respond with, "I can't build that which I do not understand".

Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one!

I do that a lot also, before I do a project I research what I am working on and then I build it over and over in my head and you are right, things tend to go more smoothly than if I don’t build it in my mind first.

Looks like a lot of us build it first in the minds eye .
My wife knows that is how I do things and will ask me how many times I’ve built it.
Some people don’t understand it but they are sometimes the ones who try and then find the problems that would have been foreseen in the mind builds.

I stumbled upon a blog post a few years back written by a photographer named Annalize Mouton who lives in a small village called Stanford in South Africa.

She described a visitation from God which lasted ten days during which His presence was so tangible that many of her friends even remarked about it.

The blog is now gone but I saved the quote and have never forgotten it:

"...He also said to me to eat His Word, to really eat it, meditate on it, digest it, do it, and let it do it’s work in me…" ~ Annalize Mouton

I don’t know, I’ll have to think about it. Too much # always rattling around in my noggin to think clearly when I have to think, and I’m always forced to do and think about things I don’t understand fully to make things fit a certain machine.

I give a lot of consideration toward how I present myself in person as well as how I communicate online.

Because it matters.

It is a reflection of my beliefs and morals, as well as a reflection of my parents and family. I believe I honor my parents by behaving in a manner that would make them proud.
